Strizzy
I'm numb to the bad news already. I'm sort of glad to be getting away from my TR turbo, though. I liked the response of it, but something about it never made me feel like it would've been reliable. I'm going to try to get a hold of EDO and see if they can warranty it again. wpmarky
I guess good thing I strayed away from that... almost got that same turbo. A BNR 16g came up locally, so I'm just gonna push that hopefully for a long while. I hate that smell of burning oil lol. Since I had trouble with the FP oil line, even my wife is super sensitive now to any funny smells coming through the vents. "Is that the truck in front of you, or is it your car?" Strizzy
I'm the same way whenever I'm in the LGT. It makes me feel sick. If I'm in my Jeep though, it's usually normal. My bad luck build

RomanC
Man, I do hope you get the parts at a steep discount. It would be interesting to see the total tally of the "build" receipts that you tried.

RomanC
So the options are a massive expensive build that appears to have issues every single time or riding the bus. Interesting. I do admire Strizzy's perseverance though.
bmx045
my friend has the blue agency power rails, he likes them over the perrin. the threaded design seems to hold up better than the hose clamp styles, esp with high fuel pressures
Strizzy
This was recently sent to me by the shop working on my car, while I was on vacation this past week. bmx045
Interesting. Afaik there should be a ground on the rear tgv bolt, on the pitchstop mount, and one underneath on each head to frame rails and of course the starters
Strizzy
Well, everything is installed. It starts and runs. Base tune goes on tomorrow so I can at least drive around, then sometime next week I go full retard. Oh yea, we found the electrical gremlin... PLX's new DM-6 requires this weird voltage reducer thingy to make the gauge work, but for some reason, it put +12V to the chassis. So that is disconnected for now, until something can be figured out. Unless I wired it wrong, because I tend to do that at 1am after a couple beers. Anyways, I took some crappy cell phone pics of what I'm pretty sure are the first ever engine bay pics I've ever taken of my car. You'll notice the turbo was clocked to PERFECTLY fit my AVO fmic piping. It seriously couldn't fit any better. The 3" Perrin inlet fit, with some effort. The fuel pump housing had to be modded a bit more to fit the slightly larger Aeromotive pump. http://www.strizzyphoto.com/photos/i-mDxjnNz/0/X2/i-mDxjnNz-X2.jpg http://www.strizzyphoto.com/photos/i-s94LPnx/0/X2/i-s94LPnx-X2.jpg http://www.strizzyphoto.com/photos/i-7TrzwJf/0/X2/i-7TrzwJf-X2.jpg http://www.strizzyphoto.com/photos/i-3hSh4HD/0/X2/i-3hSh4HD-X2.jpg http://www.strizzyphoto.com/photos/i-NNb8B2h/0/X2/i-NNb8B2h-X2.jpg http://www.strizzyphoto.com/photos/i-6g2VZFc/0/X3/i-6g2VZFc-X3.jpg My bad luck build
