Mega Users paintpollz Posted May 7, 2012 Mega Users Share Posted May 7, 2012 The stock airbox fits fine. I ran it the entire time I had my RacerX. Mine did not fit fine. I had the same issues that Chris had where the intake thing that runs to the front of the car was crooked. It bugged me to much, so I power slammed the airbox to try to get it to straighten out and it broke "Remember Danny - Two wrongs don't make a right but three rights make a left." Mega Users paintpollz Posted May 14, 2012 Mega Users Share Posted May 14, 2012 I greased these t clamps that connect to the core. This car sees a lot of salt. and after only 1 winter, there was a lot of corrosion. I'm hoping some all weather grease will prevent it from getting out of hand. The clamps/couplers on each end are also covered by a copper pipe covers, similar to the material that they make for pool toys (aka noodles). HAMMER DOWN
I got 20k on my RacerX FMIC. I was checking the "rub spots" why'll I had the car in the air. Plugging a hole in the PS front tire. Pics. of what I found. A flat spot starting to wear from the peace of hose I put on the tow loop. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/th_0519122209.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/Subaru/th_0925112218.jpg So I change it around & put the hose on both IC pipes. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/th_0519122223a.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/th_0519122223.jpg I know others have done the something with their tow loops. Just thought I give you a head up & check your pipes. Mike Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold

itsme
Ok, I have the new revised kit. I shortened the throttle body pipe to make more clearance for people that get the master cylinder brace. Just a update. A '11 WRX owner I sponsored ran 11.8 sec in the 1/4 mi with a stock VF52, my FMIC and bolt ons. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2343897 And also on the '10+ Legacy GT side. It turns out that they have alot more potential then we thought. One of our members (Rutchard) running my new '10+ LGT TMIC and TBE made 310+WHP and 380 w torque with the stock turbo on pump gas and 337whp and 406wtq on e68 and ran the 1/4 mi @ 12.5 sec. HAMMER DOWN
Installed new TB pipe for the RacerX FMIC. Shortened throttle body pipe to make more clearance for the fuel regulator bracket & the master cylinder. For people that gets the MC brace. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/Subaru/0622122347.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/Subaru/0622122345a.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l293/HAMMERDOWNGT/Subaru/0622122345.jpg With 3 washer in the front & 2 in the rear. I raised the fuel regulator bracket. Now the new TB pipe fit under all 3 fuel lines. Mega Users paintpollz Posted June 25, 2012 Mega Users Share Posted June 25, 2012 Wait, is the tb pipe something you modified or did Bryan start producing them in his newer kits to clear the fuel lines? spec.B Dream
Has anyone installed the shorter TB J pipe on an 07+? I tried on my 08 and couldn't get it around the oil cap. It just wanted to go straight through. I am running the GS AOS which is slightly larger than the OEM cap, but the fit wasn't even close. I'm also running TXS fuel rails/lines, so the OEM lines aren't in the way. I can get pics if necessary, but I'd rather see pics of those who have done it so I can see what I'm going wrong.
