spec.B Dream
That's why the heater hose buffer is there. That will need to be periodically inspected and replaced. It is no different from what I had when the pipe rested on the master cylinder. It rests on the MCB now instead.
HAMMER DOWN
Zip tie the hose too the IC pipe. This way you wont wear a hole in it. IMO a better way to do it. Mike Mileage:331487 Retired/Sold
spec.B Dream
Yea, if you look at some of my other pictures, you'll see plenty of zip ties holding heater hose. I didn't want to add another one during MCB install but may end up doing it. You'll still want to monitor the hose periodically even with zip ties. m sprank
Deff keep an eye on the heater hose. It will get a slice in it from the pressure and damage the pipe. Trust me. We have seen this many, many, many times with no good outcome.

We have seen this many, many, many times with no good outcome. That will no longer be a problem. As always, I continue to refine the kit as new aftermarket parts come to the market and I get feedback from customers. The new version will give more clearance from the MC and I have move the lower passanger pipe to raise it and make more room for headers. Anyone with the older versions of the kit can pm me if they would like to order the revised pipes. Sicotic
itsme you should make a nice intake to go with your kit. Or just sell the intake by itself.
itsme
How much for those two pipes? I'm going to test the prototype this weekend and plan to have the new kit and pipes out around the end of next month. I have to see how much each pipe will be after I finish testing. I was planning on making an intake for the '10+ LGT and I already have an air filter manufacturer that will make custom filters for me. I can make one for the '05-'09 if there is a demand. wpgspecb
I don't envy you there. Even the stock size battery was a pain to get in and out. I'm loving my new one. Shorter, more narrow and sealed. And I scored it for $66! http://photos.imageevent.com/mattg/legacygt/large/IMG_1302.JPG Is that a magnetic disconnect on the side of the fusebox with the red terminal cover? itsme
Is that a magnetic disconnect on the side of the fusebox with the red terminal cover? That was the first version of the kit. I found "those Canadians" have larger batteries then the '05-'06 Legacy GTs. After that I made a new version of the kit that uses 2 pipes to replace the old one by the battery to make it easier to change batteries, install, and to give more room for the larger batteries. This pipe was replaced http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u156/itsmebryan/old1.jpg was replaced by this http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u156/itsmebryan/P1060583.jpg Duracell battery not included. Mega Users paintpollz Posted April 27, 2012 Mega Users Share Posted April 27, 2012 FYI guys. I purchased a kit from racerX. The kit turned out to be defective. He refused to return my money or exchange the kit for a new one. After hours of trying to install, I gave up. He argued for me for over an hour on the phone about the quality of the parts. Kept saying that he has never had an issue. After my research, there have been many documented issues. While the price is good if it fits, the customer service is lacking. He might help with install issues, but be prepared for a fight if you have an issue that requires his returning your money or giving you new kit. you are not stating your issue, you are new here, therefore you lack credibility. This kit involves trimming, and other minor adjustments to be installed properly. No one here has ever complained about a kit being defective. Either you were under the assumption that you can just slap the FMIC on with no alterations, or you don't know what you are doing. The fact that he spent an hour on the phone with you is remarkable. charlie_sheen
can someone ban this jackass before he toasts one of our vendors who is actually credible?
Mega Users paintpollz Posted April 27, 2012 Mega Users Share Posted April 27, 2012 I might be new to this forum but i'm not new to modding cars. I've been modding imports since hondas were the thing back in early 90's. I don't need or want to be on this forum, I just posted this info to share my experiences with others. Trust me look around there are others with issues. I spoke with a local fab shop and they've actually seen these kits rub a hole in the lower bolt of the timing cover to the point where the timing belt shredded. No complaints? Ask charlie sheen. He thanks you then posts over here that he "personally knows someone who had a defective kit" http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/racer-x-v-3-fmic-back-fo-05-09-lgt-162970p4.html Listen dipstick, nobody gives a shit about your Hondas, or your fab shop. My poast said "no compaints about DEFECTIVE kits." Clearly you, and your defective fab shop, haven't done their homework. It was been made clear that you SHOULD remove that bolt, so it doesn't compromise the piping. I understand you want to give a review and that's all good and well, but your bashing a vendor with a reputation for making a decent product and support is inexcusable. Clearly you don't know anything about installing FMICs, and the baggage that comes with it. This is coming from an amature here, I spent 10 hours making that kit fit the way it should. Frusterating, yes, they all are. I suggest you find another shop that doesn't employ a bunch of knuckleheads, or sell the LGT switch back to a Honda. itsme
I'm glad you guys noticed he made a new account. I direct everyone to this thread. I want people to make sure people are well informed before they spend their hard earned money. People who have felt with me know I try to give the customer service I would want. I won't give his real callsign or name. after talking to him several times on the phone to understand the problem he was having. I discovered the problem was caused by him trying to install the intercooler without removing the bumper beam. That info is in the first post of the install thread. He demanded a refund I ask for pictures then, he filed a with paypal the product was not as described. I tried to work it out so, he could install the kit. He didn't want to do it. So, he was suppose to send the kit back in original condition and he didn't. I have pictures I can post when I get back to my desktop. With over 2 years of being here everyone here know how I treat my customers. I do everything I can to help and always answer phone call. Just like I text you after all of this. I said "I'm sorry things didn't work out and wish you the best in the future.". So,please stop trying to slander my name. Everyone involved with this has their opinion of the out come but, it no reason for this post and the other one you posted under this name.
