Only thing is, it is a thicker gauge aluminum which was done with a turret press and laser (it isn't expanded metal like most people use for grilles) that in turn makes it a BITCH to form to shape (took me a few days to get it 100%)

If you folded it over, are there places you could put small screws (with wide heads or washers) through the mesh into the plastic? Or is the mesh going behind the chrome frame, so you could put screws behind the frame?

There's also expoxy (such as JB Weld), and maybe you can find high-temp versions.

Generic car-parts stores (Autozone etc) have sections with replacement screws and trim clips. I've seen special black screws (machine screws, sort of) with big heads there, way overpriced, of course, but you need only a few. I used these to affix tie-downs for my lower grill, and then used black zip-ties on it, but you can see them if you look closely. HPH

anyone have pictures of how they afixed the mesh on?

No pics, but I used screw eyes, epoxied them all around the major points inside, then used heavy duty zip-ties to pull the "mesh" into final shape

Huh....I'll have to pull the grill out to check.

Does something like that need dremel-ing?

So i have an 05 LGT, and I dont know if its a common problem, but the chrome is starting to come up on the bottom of the outermost trim. Should I just remove that whole chrome piece and just paint what's underneath that? My car is the nice black pearl color and i was thinking of getting the paint to match that instead of going with the matte finishes. You can sort of see whats happening in this picture:

^I think your grille is fine. There is a lip that the grille slides into where it is coming up from the bumper. It looks like it just popped out.

I'll take a better picture, the grill is in pretty solid, so its not the gap between the bumper and the grill I'm worried about. I'm going to run out to my car and take a picture now, lol.
