  1. Purchased in Sep 2005, 191K miles. Just replaced the AC mode servo and cabin filter yesterday. I have a laundry list of things to do this year: 1. Install aluminum LCA with Gr N bushings 2. Replace PS pump and PS rack 3. Replace brake pads and rotors, flush brake fluid 4. Replace spark plugs and do a compression test 5. If compression test goes well, get new VF52 then tune 6. Install new turbo inlet 7. New tires by Summer 8. New timing belt, H2O pump, pulleys before 200K miles (later this year)
  2. I have had option 1 since 2009, no issues whatsoever. You also need 2004 STi rear rotors so throw in another $200 for that. Stock lines work but a custom (shorter) one is preferable. You can get all parts from KNS https://knsbrakes.com/c/caliper-items/2383_Subaru+V1+Rear+STI+Brembo+Caliper+Upgrade-Oversize+Park+Brake+Shoes/

  4. Mine is an 09 STi 6MT with Spec B 5&6, 08+ models have the same 2-4 gearing. Andrewtech did the work and it was already pricey years ago.
  5. Can the USDM under tray still be used with the JDM front? I want to stick with the stock ones only because of the oil filter window.
  6. Price of Limited + Eyesight Package (I want the LED headlights) is almost the same as Touring. We might just go with a 2.5i.
  7. Trying to convince my wife to replace our '07 Mazda CX9 with a '18 Outback Touring (just because I could not stand those standard roof rails). What kind of gas mileage are you getting with the 3.6 engine?
  8. Wonder who from here snagged this...marked as sold already
  9. 1. You can ask the seller if he is willing to sell the just the nose, you do not need the hood and bumper. 2. If you are pretty crafty, you can DIY with a kit from paintscratch.com.
  10. Rev A-C Spec B nose cut https://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-Subaru-Legacy-BP5-03-09-Front-End-Bumper-Fenders-Hood-Headlights-EJ20X-TURBO/173041632255?hash=item284a15c3ff:g:xIoAAOSwg8taOa5K&vxp=mtr
  11. I previously painted the shifter bezel with PlastiDip when I did my JDM HVAC in 2014. I was not 100% satisfied so I wrapped it instead in matte black vinyl over the weekend. Turned out pretty good IMO.
  12. I was thinking of doing this hack to the rear beam (from an older post). Cut 2-3 inches and braze it back on. Seems aluminum brazing can be a DIY project.
  13. Did just that. Top is the JDM headlight with flipped shields, no washer, filled hole. Bottom is USDM headlight with 1 washer, bent cover on hole, Koito ballast & Osram D2S capsules.
  14. Color match fail, rest of car looks yellow-er/darker than bumper. That being said, my car hasn't seen any paint care product in over 3 years . I will need to clay, compound, polish and wax to be able to judge how far off the color is. Side question: Is there a way to make the headlight motors move without the leveling switch? My right side is higher than the left.
  15. Would a simple aluminum bar attached to the bumper beam mounts work? Kinda like a poor man's version of the Beatrush brace.
  16. are you gutting your beam to make it work or taking it out completely?
  17. JC Auto here in LoCo....I pass by it on the way home from work so it is convenient...great price too! Unfortunately VA isn't one one of them
  18. I used to own a body shop many years ago. I am familiar with prep work but nothing beyond wet sanding.
  19. Oh boy, mine has a few deep scratches that will require a good amount of filler, no cracks though. I am planning to pre-sand mine at home with #400...hopefully that saves me a few bucks.
  20. How much did you guys pay to get the bumper skin painted?
  21. There was one Rev A-C Outback, not what you are looking for
