hogmeat
yup. 2 on each bolt really does sound best... I'm pleasantly surprised... It was most certainly worth the couple bucks and 10 mins of my time. CLICK HERE FOR THE HOGZAUST
Zed 2.0
Anybody from a 4-season climate want to chime in on the long-term consequences of this? I'm not crazy about opening the inside of my exhaust to salt spray, magnesium chloride and road grime in the winter.
Guest Gitster
^^^ Thats silly. If anything, those effects could be called stage winter

hogmeat
um yah, Iowa here. 1.5 years now, and no problems at all. All that HOT high pressure air will keep any and all water out of the pipes. Trust me. I'm pleasantly surprised... It was most certainly worth the couple bucks and 10 mins of my time. c-lo
not looking through 100 pages, anyone done this on just one side? I did today, and like the way it sounds. both sides I think would be too noisy for me. 258k miles - Stock engine/minor suspension upgrades/original shocks/rear struts replaced at 222k/4 passenger side wheel bearings/3 clutches/1 radiator/3 turbos
sexylegacy
I think it would sound a little off doing just one side, but whatever works, eh? Enjoy your 2 dollar mod. It's one of the best you can do!

It's one of the best you can do! eh.. doesn't sound too off. I could use just one washer per bolt instead, but I also carry the kids in my car, so I don't want it to be too annoying.  My son thinks it sounds awesome!! 258k miles - Stock engine/minor suspension upgrades/original shocks/rear struts replaced at 222k/4 passenger side wheel bearings/3 clutches/1 radiator/3 turbos
ispeed
I have it on one side, and i like it that way. Its just because i can't get the other side unbolted. But either way, i like it. I call it stage .
c-lo
^^ I just had mine in to replace the pass side rear wheel bearing. had him loosen up the bolts for me. So does stage .5 equal and additional 1/2 horsepower ?? 258k miles - Stock engine/minor suspension upgrades/original shocks/rear struts replaced at 222k/4 passenger side wheel bearings/3 clutches/1 radiator/3 turbos
sexylegacy
Mental HP. It's all about the sound, which I don't have anymore with EL Headers. BUT, it still sounds great.

Drinyth
Bump for stage 2. I think it'll be more of a novelty thing for me for a few days, but I'm almost certain to go back to stock. I liked the louder exhaust with my WRX. But it doesn't seem right with a 5EAT LGT. It reminds me of my WRX, though. *sniff*

hogmeat
Had mine on for approaching 2 years now. I took them off to try stage 6 (yah, I know...it sounded like poo) and there was no real corriosion, even living in Iowa. I'm pleasantly surprised...
