robert
I went stage 2. So far i like it, apparently its louder inside the cab than outside..or so i am told. Thanks Hawt for showing me this mod in person
hogmeat
It's not "louder" inside than out - it's just louder in the cabin than other exhausts cause it does fire under the car vs "out" the car. It's still plenty loud outside though Slap some dynamat under the car, and your set. I'm pleasantly surprised... It was most certainly worth the couple bucks and 10 mins of my time. robert
Its fine like it is. I have to admit i would never have tried it if i hadnt been shown in person what it sounds like. Im using the washers not the copper wire or cut gasket version. Any complaints bout this mod yet?
robert
After the local PD watching me as i drove around this week i have readjusted it to single washers now....i love the ability to change it around so easily. thanks hog
hogmeat
They aren't watching you...if they were, they would have been watching those really loud trucks with nothing more than open headers. MarkV
ha, so yea, I thought i was gonna beable to do it today....but I was wrong....bad part is I got class at 8 tomorrow..then work....then a basketball game....i might just wake up reealy early and swap out the gaskets for the washers and do all the video's and everything in between...might suck cuz of the time constraints I've Crashed My ROFLChopper into a LOLCanOhttp://legacygt.com/forums/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=16939&dateline=1230531251
oddseth
Damn, my bolts are rusted on! Tried my longest torque wrench, liquid wrench, and almost fried the motor on my cordless drill! Help! I guess I need to find someone with air tools since a breaker bar would probably bend my exhaust hangers.
hogmeat
first, use P'Blaster - it's better than L.W. Let it sit overnight. then use TWO wrenches - that is key. The counter-rotating cancels out the twisting action, allowing you to really torque it. Or, an impact gun will work. Get a cheapy electric...every man needs SOME type of impact wrench... I'm pleasantly surprised... It was most certainly worth the couple bucks and 10 mins of my time. CLICK HERE FOR THE HOGZAUST
MarkV
yea, i used liquid wrench(super penetrant), and let it sit for a while, thne used my breaker bar and it came out beautifully, will put the video on tonight I've Crashed My ROFLChopper into a LOLCanOhttp://legacygt.com/forums/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=16939&dateline=1230531251

oddseth
just got some pblaster and picked a cheep electric impact wrench off of ebay. Hopefully it will arrive by Saturday so I can get my hog on.
MarkV
just remember that when you spray the blaster on use a hammer and nock on the head of the bolt, and nock on the nut like 5-7 times at moderate force just to get some vibrations in their to get the liquid running(hit after spray*) I've Crashed My ROFLChopper into a LOLCanOhttp://legacygt.com/forums/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=16939&dateline=1230531251
