subarunoob
G'day, was driving today and noticed my temperature gauge was climbing above half way also noticed a coolant light come on(in photo attached) recently bought my 2.5LT gt wagon and when checking coolant level it was low and was only filled with water. After topping the coolant levels to full the coolant light still hasn't gone away. I couldn't find anything about a white coloured coolant light in the owners manual was wondering if anyone knows why it hasn't gone away and why it's white. silverton
The only warning light I'm seeing illuminated in that photo is the JDM style emergency brake indicator, US cars actually say "brake" cause we're dumb. Infosecdad
The "white coolant light" is the marker that indicates what type of gauge that is. Hopefully, it doesn't go out.

subarunoob
Thank you! I haven't had the car for long and all my other cars only illuminated the coolant light when there was a problem.
silverton
Every car out there has that little symbol next to the coolant gauge to let you know what the gauge is for. Your other vehicles may not have been as bright of an instrument cluster maybe? That generation has the coolest cluster for any legacy. Per wikipedia: Quote Starting with this generation, Subaru installed an electroluminescent instrument cluster which lights up when the engine is started, regardless if the exterior lights are on. KZJonny
Probably because it was easier to put an exclamation mark in (use the EDM console) than to try and fit "Brake/Frein" in tiny letters on the dash.

KZJonny
Is that chirping sound OEM as well Max? First I've hear that.... Or is that an aftermarket stereo thing or the like?
