  1. Thank you! I haven't had the car for long and all my other cars only illuminated the coolant light when there was a problem.
  2. I'm from Australia which is why we the handbrake on symbol is like that.
  3. G'day, was driving today and noticed my temperature gauge was climbing above half way also noticed a coolant light come on(in photo attached) recently bought my 2.5LT gt wagon and when checking coolant level it was low and was only filled with water. After topping the coolant levels to full the coolant light still hasn't gone away. I couldn't find anything about a white coloured coolant light in the owners manual was wondering if anyone knows why it hasn't gone away and why it's white.
  4. UPDATE: Tried a different scan tool and that did the trick, cleared the code and it hasn't come back. I can't remember exactly what the code was but had to do with the airfilter sensor

  6. I have recently purchased the lovely Subaru liberty GT wagon, yesterday I wanted see the state of my air filter, opened it up looked clean enough put it back in. After I started the car and drove down the road I noticed a solider check engine light was on, cruise control flashing and I was stuck in sports mode (besides that I noticed no difference in how the car ran). Speaking to my friend that's a mechanic he suggested looking at the airfilter box and make sure it's properly sealed which it wasn't. Put it together properly and the check engine light is still on so my friend suggested disconnecting the battery terminals and waiting an hour. This doesn't clear the code so I then take it to get scanned, unfortunately the scanner is now unable to communicate with the car through the OBD2 port and the guy from supercheap auto said something about not picking up voltage at the port(starting the car and it still seems to run with out any issues). Does anyone have any suggestions on why there's no voltage at the OBD2 port. Also I'm incredibly sorry if I've done anything wrong I'm very new to this kind of thing!
