meeting a friend later that lives 30 min from hill farmstead to get the beers he got me. Nice friendship as one way to hill is just over 4 hours. He comes back home a couple times a month to see family.
I was 0.

And I'm still a zero.

Ok, about to try Mother Earth Brewing co's Sin Tax Milk Stout. Something about creamy notes of Peanut Butter and BBV's mom. I don't know.....sounds totally hipster to me.

Despite my beer snobbery.... I really like guinness. My first beer love.

But tonight. Is all gin.

I see....you're one of those Gin people

Gin people when they are drunk are entertaining to say the least.

I'm a beer guy. And a gin guy. Sometimes even a wine or mixed drink guy.

However, alcohol is alcohol. The booze in gin and the booze in wine is still the same chemical compound. Proportion is an issue.

Gin is different though, the high you get is different from other kinds of liquor. You could be drunk as a skunk off gin, yet somehow you are able to articulate most of your speech which leads to interesting results.

Any chance you are a Wine Spritzer guy ?

Yeah. None of that's true.

But it is, I've been witness to it enough times already, Tequila makes people stupid, Rum too but in a different way, but Gin makes people drunk, know-it-alls , which can lead to very annoying results. People say "Whiskey makes you mean" though I'm not sure that's completely true.

JJ is right, alcohol is alcohol. However, the comment Dick is making regarding the various effects of different alcohol containing substances is true as well.

It's the other compounds, which vary greatly from wine to liquor to beer, and vary greatly within each sub-category, that react with alcohol in different ways. It's also related to sugar type and content in the solution.

The biggest factor, however, is simply alcohol by volume or alcohol per serving in relation to those various differences.

There's been studies all around this. Certain chemicals (congeners) can possibly have an effect, but they basically agree that it's fairly negligible and unreliable.

Certain alcohols however, are typically consumed differently. Tequila being one. Tequila gets a bad rep, but the majority of the time, youre consuming this via a shot.

Liquors like Rum and Tequila have more impurities than liquors like Vodka and Gin, I always thought that lead to different effects on the body.

Going to pick out my SB Beer today, no idea what yet.

Omni brewing Daily Dose has been my go to this winter.

:coffee:

I'm not much into Coffee Cream stouts but people sure do seem to like them, seems like a good winter beer though.
