dvinke1
How about designing something like this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/atm-18017/overview/ Guy apparently installed it in his LGT in thread below, but no finished pics, and he said it would require trimming: (pic half way down page) http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/gauge-pod-would-you-like-designed-legacy-158273p5.html Hard to say how much the rear view mirror needs to go down though, might take up too much room up there. I'll have to measure in my car and lower the mirror and see. Or even something like this for an accessport: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/atm-13002/overview/

Looks doable. Kred is still working on the Defrost Gauge pod and I'm waiting on a design for a vent pod. Still need to work on the Third Brake light delete also
discojon
Updated the second post and consolidated the info to purchase the items. I'm strongly considering reducing the price of the gauge pods. If they were priced closer to $35 + shipping, would more of you be interested in purchasing? Akasa
I have an idea. For us who have deleted our catted up pipes and have installed catless pipes, you have to do a resistor mod for the EGT sensor (if your up pipe doesn't have an EGT bung), which leaves you having to tape up the connector to keep water out, or blast it full of silicone. It would be great if we had something that could clip into the existing open connection to look factory (for CA emission testing) and keep the water out? Just a thought. Turkeylord
^ Great idea. I did this, but a custom plug would be bettah: http://i.imgur.com/CR1Y9LDl.jpg

I did the same thing TL did but dipped mine in plastidip (the liquid not the spray) Do you want me to leave room for the resister to come through, or just a solid plug to cap the socket off? discojon
still in for a vent pod! Still in Development. Kred can update when he stops by.
Turkeylord
leave some room on the inside for the resistor - they can be plugged directly into the harness. OR, it would be sweet if you could drop one in with bent leads for the harness, mid-print...
discojon
Update!! First test print of the vent gauge pod. Streetlegal
That looks good^ Interested to see where this one goes. What build thickness and material are you using? The one I have here uses a black and can do 10thou and 7thou. The stringyness of the excess just caught my attention

I bet it was done with "rapid prototyping" in mind. See the other pictures for the center dash gauge kit to get an idea what the final build will look like. This was the first test print I did. .3mm z resolution is why you can see all the layers. This was just to verify fitment of the vent insert and angle of the pod. Also, the only post production i did on it was to break off the support material. Granted, a printed part will never have the same finish quality as an injection molded part, but if this makes it to production it will be higher quality. What modeling program are you using? Wouldn't be willing to send me the STL file would you haha? (I assume no so it's no biggie)
CasopoliS
Very cool on the vent pod, especially if you can somehow keep some of the vent capability. People that buy these could paint them with plasti-dip, or acetone them, or maybe felt them (or combination of the above).

The vent will still work, maybe not as well. It it will work.

Streetlegal
Hey quick question. When you modeled the vent portion of the pod did you incorporate the little tabs that hold it in there too or no?

freaksavior
Any chance to make: 1) a cheaper "info panel relocation bracket"? $100+ from japan seems a little insane 2) a cheaper double din console panel (i.e. a new version of the cubby frame that makes it easier to mount a tablet)? http://www.avojdm.com/product_info.php?cPath=26_54_60&products_id=108 Just some wild ideas. Probably to both. I'll talk with Kred. If you could make a new cubby din that fit the nexus 7 2013 perfectly, i'd buy one from you in a new york minute. Shipping and currency conversion from Japan just doesn't make it worth it in my eyes edit: I can even send you a nexus and a cubby din to get measurements off of if that will make this happen.
