Subaru OEM quarters cost around 700+ unpainted.

So, here's the topic I've been dreading. Subaru has never been good at rustproofing the quarter panels (not as bad as Chrysler though ) my dog leg is beginning to rot on my 05 GT Wagon, it appears that i'm one of the first to have this happen, and chances are you'll have this happen too in the future if you own a Legacy Wagon. What should I do to repair this? I'm capable of welding in a quarter panel myself, the problem is, I don't need an ENTIRE quarter panel, and that's all that I can find. I just need the dog leg with a few inches into the wheel arch due to how far back the rust tracks internally. There has to be something I can do about this, I want to stop the rot before it advances more and consumes important structural components. If anyone has tackled this at all please post your advice here, I'll love you forever if you do.

Excellent walk through! I'm very pleased that you purchased the A118. You'll enjoy it, it's a great camera.

Sugru is what's keeping my 4 year old Macbook Pro charger from falling apart. -

So, a wagon running Koni Yellows with Swift Wagon springs, which I believe is a mild 1.2 inch or so drop. would I have to roll my fenders to fit a 18x8" +45 with a 235/40 -18 tire? What about 225/40 - 18? The only reason is I have rot starting to form on my rear dogleg, and I know if I roll my rear quarter it's going to crack like hell. I would be fine to roll the fronts, but I seem to have difficulty figuring if this would fit or not.

I have an idea. For us who have deleted our catted up pipes and have installed catless pipes, you have to do a resistor mod for the EGT sensor (if your up pipe doesn't have an EGT bung), which leaves you having to tape up the connector to keep water out, or blast it full of silicone. It would be great if we had something that could clip into the existing open connection to look factory (for CA emission testing) and keep the water out? Just a thought. -
Compilation of cheap and/or free Legacy Mods

Does this trick only work with HID's, and does it screw up the light cutoff like it looks like it would? -

It appears I must make a blood sacrifice every time I work on this car. I guess that's just what makes a Subaru a Subaru. (Or maybe I should just learn to wear gloves.) -
Has anyone used gasket part number 14035AA492 on their 05-06 LGT? I'm experiencing a rough idle and RPM drops until my engine is warm, and was looking to replace these gaskets. When I search this part number it looks like these fit on all 4th gen GT's, but several posts here tell me that they don't.

Do these metal tees have the same internal diameter as the OEM blue tees? -

I was wondering, how do I match driver and passenger temperatures, so that the driver knob controls both?

I just purchased this and installed it. OP, your product works flawlessly, I had zero difficulties installing this, on top of it, the quality is superb. Everything was plug and play, excluding the obvious single wire solder, which took 10 seconds at best. I just wanted to extend my thanks for making a great product. Thanks Ridgeracer and Jeffer, my next addition is permanently mounting an aux in. Also, Ridgeracer, do you have to physically power up that bluetooth unit by pressing the power button on the device every time you start the car? Or does it go into connect mode when you give it power? (Turn the car on)
