awfulwaffle
Here's another - for anyone who's asked themselves 'is it clean enough' when cleaning up head gasket mating surfaces on their Subaru: http://www.bescaredracing.com/sti/tsb/cylinder_head_gasket.pdf I was able to get to the finished state with just plastic razor blades and gasket removal spray. Essentially, the only place any residue remains is in the lay of the surface finish, at the bottoms of the "grooves" left over from the machining process. awfulwaffle
For anyone who encountered issue with injector height doing a topfeed conversion: https://www.maperformance.com/products/treadstone-12mm-height-adapter-injector-hat-11mm-o-ring-ih-11-12 I ran into an injector height issue using old style ID1000s with an 09 LGT rail and IAG TGV deletes, had 1/4" of axial movement of the injectors. Ended up stacking a pair of o-rings and a washer in the rail behind the injector to take up the slack, since I didn't know you could get spacers like this. These look like a much better solution. JmP6889928
Thanks to csaari for finding these: Is this it? Part number 72651AJ01A, apparently replacing old part number 72651AG00A. https://www.subarupartsforyou.com/oe...03MjY1MUFHMDBB I was actually looking for something else, and came across that. I looked the number up on a couple of different parts sites, and that seems to be the right one. Interesting, I also found it on eBay, but it said it wouldn't fit the 2007 Legacy.... Max Capacity
The 2008 -2020 STI solid steering U joint can be had for $47.00 on ebay. Here's what I got. Update the 2015 to 2020 STI solid link will fit also. "I bit the bullet and bought a 2019 STI steering joint. When I got it, and compared to OE Legacy GT, the STI unit is about 1/8 longer, but that isn't an issue because there is an allowance for that on the steering column side. I turned the wheel and rack lock to lock with the 2015+ design unit without issue. Confirmed 2015+ STI fits with 05 GT rack." Tehnation
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07X7YM9LL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Bought these the other day, and they just came in. You get 4 ignition coil connectors with pigtails. For any of you with busted clips that wiggle off and cause misfires etc. If you have something like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T6972Z4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You can just take out the pins and change the connector without having to splice any wires, takes like 5 mins if you know what your doing. Make sure to do one wire at a time if you don't want to label the wires, they need to be in a certain order!
