RockAuto.com has cheaper stock grilles ($65):

RockAuto Grille

One could also opt for the C-Mod Grille for $140:

How are the C-Mod grills? I keep looking at getting an R-Rev but it sounds like they are barely in production right now.

I honestly do not know. I saw the thread and liked both of the links, so I thought it was at least a good place to start for people that were looking into upgrading/modifying their grille.

If you purchase the C=Mod, do a write up and I'll edit into my thread.

Thanks.

All the direct-fit rack options for BP roof rails:

Low profile:

The OEM (Thule-style) square bars were made by Mont Blanc. Those and a newer aero-style version are still imported by PerryCraft in Sparta, NC. See their website for retailers.

http://www.perrycraft.com/c-9609-1998-2007.aspx

Another, better square bar option was the Thule 440 specialty rack with kit SR2. Production was brief and availability is limited, especially the SR2 kit.

Yakima RailGrab towers make for an especially low profile. Just discontinued, availability is plentiful. Fitting these takes special care to avoid contacting the roof paint.

Standard profile:

Yakima EZ Rider towers are a nice fit. Discontinued quite a while back, availability is limited.

High profile:

Locking EZ Riders are maybe half an inch taller than non-locking EZ Riders. Availability is similar.

FWIW, I just bought an Aisin TKF-004 timing belt kit for my 09 Spec B on Amazon for $258 free shipping. I picked up the OEM t'stat with gasket and idler pulley for the AC belt from my local dealer. Want to replace the idler because it's 10 years old, Cheap insurance...

If I remember too I'll link the place I got it from later, the place was listed on Amazon as other places to buy the kit from. Easy to find on the page.

Look I remembered, ordered from True Blue Parts off Amazon.

Edit May 24th

Look what came today, free shipping is great,

Today May 27th I stopped by Advance Auto Parts with a 20% off coupon, I bought the two drive belts, Dayco belts. When I presented the coupon, the counter guy said, I have a $10,00 off coupon I can use for you. That was a better discount.

Picked up another gallon of Prestone 50/50 Pre-Mix for $8.88 from Walmart. I'll stop by my trust mechanic on Tuesday and make an appointment to have him replace the timing belt kit and service the AC, He charged me $320 for the belt kit and $40 to service the AC on the wagon a few weeks back.

Sachs from Rockauto. $12.75 each plus shipping, $36.

SACHS SG223008 Lift Support $ 12.74 $ 0.00 1 $ 12.74

SACHS SG223009

Those are the part numbers for the left and right

July 7th

Fed Ex just dropped them off. The left one went on pretty easy, but I will say I had to pop the tail lights out to install the ball piece, before you mount the strut to it. I had a tough time getting the threads on the ball to start into the body of the car.

Don't put the ball in the strut until you have the top two bolts tight. The ball needs to be installed before you pop the strut onto it. Put the ball in the body first then install the two bolt that hold the strut to the hatch.

The right one was more of an issue, I had to elongate the slotted hole so the top bolt could move lower, enough to engage the threads. I used a drill bit just a little smaller then the bolt hole and put the drill on high speed and move the drill bit back and forth like you would a file to elongate the hole towards the other hole. almost 1/2 the hole distance.

Oh, I used a broom handle to hold the hatch open while I was working there.

Hatch lifts much easier now.

Edit, last summer, 2020 I found I had to adjust the bolt holes more as the strut was wearing the rubber seal around the hatch.

If anyone is interested in a cheap tool cart. Just bought one for 108 bucks, 130 with the extra tray. There's a coupon on the harbor freight website until the end of the month that takes off 50 bucks. Its actually very sturdy and good quality, definitely worth the 100 bucks!

I have this cart and it's quite nice. They also make a red one (I have this one as well) that's a bit larger and slightly more expensive with larger drawers in it. Can't go wrong with either one.

Thanks for posting this. :)

I found these by accident, but there WAS a photo of an LGT with these installed on the site and they look quite nice. Thanks to SBT for pulling the photo and placing in this post.

I thought I had put this in here already but I must have missed it.

Put this gasket between the intercooler and the turbo and you'll never have another leak. It's reusable forever.

If the link doesn't work, you can find at Summitt, Jegs, Amazon, Motorstate Distributing, and many others for about $20.00.
