  1. Closed deck is to try and reinforce the factory cylinder walls. Replacing the factory sleeves with steel sleeves keeps the cylinders from flexing.
  2. Once it gets really hot it takes a while to cool down. I just don't want to leave anything on the table. I have seen a few 500-600+ HP subarus on a tmic (GS,ETS). I figured I am in so deep, why stop now?
  3. I want to be able to keep the fog lights as well, looks like that's not possible with the Cobb.
  4. Thinking I want to add a FMIC, I don't like the removal of the crash bar. My tuner wants 2k to do a custom precision core and custom pipes/impact beam. I saw ETS has a kit, but it removes the impact beam. I can install a watersprayer (3/4 done) that might be enough? Tuner says will be fine with TMIC, but will heat soak after a few high boost pulls. Torn! Help! Lolz
  5. Ordered more parts.... ATI super damper Knock sensor Factory Oil pan KillerB pickup and baffle Timing covers and bolts AVCS Solenoids and gears New OEM driveshaft
  6. The block came back from Darton and was clearanced and assembled by Agile Auto. Mostly Cosworth parts.... Will be using my current heads using GSC parts and OEM buckets. Waiting on the parts to arrive from Full-Race: EFR 7163 vband coating/blanket Turbosmart Dual Port IWG actuator 4-port EBCS BPV block-off plate F-R up and down coated F-R ELH header for EFR kits coated I also was running out of fuel with the Dom 1.5xtr, So I am using a DW440 brushless setup with PWM controller. Fits in the factory bucket with some modifications. Includes a new pass through connector and harness all the way to the controller. Old AEM 340lph was 340lph@40psi / 260lph@75psi New DW 440lph now 440lph@40psi / 380lph@75psi Controller can also do up to 18v constant if I need more ( 620lph@40psi @ 18v ) Should be enough, I wasn't interested in a dual pump setup or replacing the factory hardlines.
  7. Awesome setup! I am right down the street in Columbia. Be safe!
  8. Just arrived... Can't wait to see what this pump can do!
  9. I am working with my tuner Max, I just wanted to get the opinion of the "old heads". What I want: Full Race 1.5 scroll manifold coated Full Race EFR 7163 Kit up/down v-band coated Turbosmart Dual Port IWG actuator 4 port EBCS DW440 brushless pump DW 40amp pump controller (PWM) Getting ready to put the money down today so the full race parts can be ordered. Agile will be installing the engine and doing all tuning. Have to wait on Full-Race, but the car should be totally done in 6-8 weeks. Then I will be selling: *6k miles on parts* Perrin coated ELH Catted Cobb DP with full blanket setup Grimmspeed coated and wrapped up Blouch 1.5xtr 10cm with blanket and heatshield GS EBCS with larger ports Turbosmart BPV AEM 340lph pump Hoping to have one of the baddest 4th Gens in the region!
  10. Looking into rotated as well at this point. Would need a custom pipe to the tmic.
  11. Been awhile! Car is still running great, getting ready to have the motor sleeved etc. I want to keep the TMIC and I was thinking that the only upgraded turbo from my 1.5xtr would be the EFR7163. (49lb vs 60lb) Would be v-band and IWG. Still talking to full race about the issues people have been having hitting high boost without a dual port actuator and 4 port EBCS. Would then be able to sell: Catted Cobb DP with full blanket setup Grimmspeed coated and wrapped up Blouch 1.5xtr 10cm with blanket and heatshield What are your thoughts and opinions? Catted or Not? Will be tuned for E85 on as much boost as it can efficiently produce. I am not interested in rotated. Needs to stay a sleeper.
  12. I wouldn't think so, always in line for something!
  13. Looking to possibly replace the grimmspeed TMIC on my 2008 Spec B to a FMIC. Let me know what you got!
  14. Most shops that will tune your car will send you a Limp map to bring it in
  15. If you have a vacuum pump and gauges you can do it.
  16. This looks incredible installed! Great purchase
  17. My factory DS lasted almost 190k. That being said, my tuner recommended I get an oem driveshaft ($500-$580) because all the aftermarket ones he has installed vibrate. I am purchasing a new subaru driveshaft for piece of mind. .02
  18. Big shout to Madrig! I have quite a few of his carbon creations! Easily the best mods on my spec-B. Hot me up when you want to make some more parts!
  19. Squeezing the metal piece into the new BPV hose. Without that to secure inside, the clamp will be loose on the adapter. Looks better as well IMO
