  1. I had the same thing happen, driving did not help, what did help was the key on let sit , then start and idle you can look up how to do it " throttle body re learn" The first time it happened my shop forced a re learn with a scan tool. The second time I did the manual re learn Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  2. If it really is a problem with TGV, a good performance shop will be able to diagnose that and replace for cheaper than the dealer, if could find a shop that would do it, would be perfect time to get TGV deletes and a tune Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  3. My knowledge is pretty limited with these cars....is there a reputable performance Subaru shop in town ? Or Subaru only shop, I'm really fortunate as I have two shops I trust. You should do find a shop you trust if you don't trust the dealership. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  4. If your only reason for exhaust is performance gains I would just skip it all together as mentioned above. Any small amount of power you may gain won't be worth the dollars and suspension upgrades will provide more noticeable improvements for dollars spent. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  5. Must be different on later models , my 05 spent most it's life in Arizona not garaged, then came to Central Oregon and was exposed to more heat and direct sun, as well as freezing temps. It's still in great shape, my steering wheel however is trashed , last owner had a death grip. Anyone Ever re wrap a stering wheel ? Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  6. Ya looks slick , very nice Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  7. Good deal, I would get new vacuum hose for everything around there wile you are at it, good time to delete TGV's , and add after market fpr, rails extera wile you have it apart. I bought this https://www.fastwrx.com/products/vibrant-silicone-vacuum-hose-kit And some OEM stuff and PCV assembly and hoses I'm pretty happy with the quality of the vibrant hose Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  8. When I had my clutch and tranny swap done the shop suggested forged clutch fork and billet pivot ball, it probably wasn't necessary but what's another 150 when you spending close to 2k....glad I did after reading this. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  9. Sale pending on tmic and bpv Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  10. If you get some cheap ramps exhaust is " easy" The two places you can and may have trouble is with stuck bolts and tweaking the alignment, that being said kinda hard to do any serious damage . Soak all bolts wit PB blaster , get correct size wrenches and sockets. Good place to start if you are new to wrenching Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  11. O and check the oil level every few gas tank fill ups Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk

  14. Nice looks good and like the lights for sure so they make them for pre facelift sedans ? They awesome at ARC Flash and very reasonable rates for the quality of work they do. Glad you are back on the road. We need to do a bend meet up after we get some good snow Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  15. If I where you I would pull the intake and do intake , gaskets, TGV gaskets and throttle body gasket, mine where in sad shape at 177k and clearly leaking by the oil build up around all the seals Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  16. I will second the Perrin unit , I have my intake manifold off currently but test fitting the fit is real nice Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk

  21. Best quote I have ever got for a short block replacement and head job was 6500, trustable shop and I would be worried to pay much less It's a big job , the upside you get a lot of the obvious maintenance items with done as well. Once the motor is out the clutch also is probably a good idea as well, slippery slope. The blue book is sadly low although I see them sell well over book right now with how the car market is, I also think long term they will be desirable. If you like it enough to keep it for a long time fixing it might be worth it....... Not sure what your financial situation is but unless you have 7500 or so cash or can get a low interest personal credit union loan, you are almost certainly better off buying another car. 23. Do you know what size I would need for a 16g ? Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  24. What disaster, I have been trying to decide between OEM short block and the , "grocery getter" block my local shop sources....think I will just go OEM and keep the final build mild with the 16g I have Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
