  1. Well here it goes. I have an 05 legacy gt. I can not get a solid answer on what tube will fit. There is some info indicating that 05 is different than all other years. The killer b tube dose not list a part for 05 only 06 plus I purchased this moroso and it says it fit but there is debate around that as well. Moroso 24965 Oil Pump Pickup for Subaru EJ 20/EJ 25 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005PX0SAO/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_D6QB59KK1H127PPRTV3C I really don't want to pull my pan and find out I have the wrong part. Any help is appreciated, and a write up on pulling the pan would not hurt. My car is on ramps and I have concerns about pulling the subframe in this state. Thanks Joe Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  2. Depends on where the leak is I guess, I have sedan but I had stock downpipe and mid with nameless 5 inch mufflers, It was pretty tame , I'm guessing with a downpipe would be a bit louder Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  3. It was me. It was definitely mechanical, I plugged in and unplugged the odb port about 100 times and some wiggling and it finally connected. If I have trouble again I will be re pinning the odb port Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  4. Very nice progress this would have taken me somewhere between 3 months and never Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  5. Thank you that is a good pic I was wondering the same thing , my only thought was that as it's vapor return it should be independent. Also what I did notice is that port is connected to a "straw' that terminates about dead center inside of the manifold. I will get a pic tomorrow when I'm near the car. 6. Well 36 views and nothing but crickets, this tells me at least no one has a strong opinion about it and probably has not been done. Going to give it a shot then Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  7. As I'm replacing vacuum line I find I do not care for how Subaru did this at all. I also have and aftermarket fpr, and fuel damper that both require a vacuum reference. I really just want to run an aftermarket manifold and direct lines to each system. Any reason why this is a bad idea ? Thanks Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  8. That's what I was hoping, best I could tell it is the exit of the purge valve bringing fuel vapor into the intake Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  9. It looks like it comes out but I'm not sure nor could I find a replacement Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  10. As expected all the vacuum hoses on the underside of my intake manifold are petrified and cracking in half. In my attempt to remove this on it snapped the nipple right off. I wonder how sensitive this port is to diameter , was hoping I could just tap or epoxy a new nipple on. Thanks Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  11. Good deal , I wasn't here for the whole build and even I was a bit crushed when it went boom ! Such an awesome build. Basically every bush in my rear needs replaced, it taking it all like this the way to go ? Write up anywhere ? Thanks Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  12. Good progress today. Next up will be port and coat exhaust manifold Install exhaust manifold and up pipe Install turbo and down pipe Install turbo blanket and heat shield Install turbo inlet Look at the difference in the stock downpipe, the stocker is criminal Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  13. Getting busy today.......holly cow the downpipe , exhaust manifold is so easy to get to on these cars Never will I go back to VAG cars...vw/Audi Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  14. Fuel system finally mocked up, will do a write for the whole top feed conversion and flex fuel install when I'm finished. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  15. We have these things called pack rats here, and if you give them any reason to come around they destroy stuff well before they die I couldn't even count the customers with messed up cars. Sometimes the only solution was to leave the hoods open Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  16. This works if you have a station away from the car, the best thing is to zip tie a bundle of dryer sheets in a couple places under the hood as well as a few under the seats. Irish spring soap chunks work also but much harder to place them, better for a car that doesn't move much 10 plus years in pest control Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  17. I have not seen a used one for sale from any company that looks decent to be honest. It might be worth it to coat the new bar in por15 and at that point any brand would probably be ok. White line seems to be the most reviewed Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  18. I have been looking for somewhere to relocate to, me and my wife where talking the other day and I realized no one ever talks about Indianapolis, or Indiana for that matter, never on the news, never met anyone from there. I figured that is a good thing. What is it like there and would you recommend it for a family with young kids ? Thank you and sorry for going off topic Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  19. Cool car , I'm doing something similar, not really rally but just how a Subaru was meant to me used. My advise ...new struts, and bushings everywhere. If you are planning and dirt's roads go with OEM and not something similar. I did kyb OEM struts , original springs, 1/2 Saggy but spacer , and it handles dirt and gravel well. Honestly not a whole lot else to add except for maybe some more armor underneath, at least a diff plate Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  20. I have a nameless axle back, it got great and I have faith in there products, imagine you will here back soon, my experience was very positive Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  21. There is a lot of " magic" involved in getting and exhaust sitting right. Always blows my mind when I go to a shop they get all sitting so much better than I ever do Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  22. Return lines , going to try and finish up the supply Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
  23. Ya really wish I didn't have an 05, the cost of having to buy a complete 08 wheel and bag is killing me, specially just to canabalize it Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
