  1. Yepper and I went with forged replacements , cost was roughly 80 dollars more than new OEM
  2. Fyi when discussing options with my shop it was mentioned that even if I kept stock configuration I would need to replace the bolts along with a new dual mass flywheel The shop if the flywheel has never been changed there is a good chance some of the bolts would be stripped and require grinding to get a good purchase to remove Their strongest suggestion was ditching the dual mass all together , alternative is new dual mass with a different kind of hardware so it can easily be removed next time. I went with a single mass My shop is truly very good , if they say they often have a bitch of a time getting those bolts out , I imagine you may as well
  3. Really need that intake manifold ,I'll pm you my address let me know cost on shipping and I'll Venmo ya
  4. I have been suffering from a dry dipstick for years now, to be fair it's because I'm married. YMMV
  5. Less than it should it be , but these cars only appeal to a shrinking group of buyers and the millage , mods , and color narrow it even further .
  6. You are a mad man ! Thanks needing this , rough morning
  7. How awesome and difficult do I want to make this build ? YES
  8. You are going to find tuners with more experience on the vf52, plus replacement turbos and associated parts will be much easier to find . A jmp vf52 will likely set you back about 8 or , possibly a bit more , or less a brand new one someone horded and never used sold on here for like 7 something last month . If I was going to do something jdm and difficult for no reason I would do a twin scroll
  9. If you are going aftermarket you have tons of options , nearly limitless . Not long ago someone and here took on a similar project . There is lots of light controllers that can be triggered a bunch of ways and stay on for a preset amount of time You might be able to run an inline tap on the dome light wiring to a relay to power other lights, but in my experience on a few different cars , ecus, and control modules get weird when you tap into their wiring
  10. What a bummer man , every time I start getting the bright idea I can rebuild a engine I see a post like this and am reminded I have no place going down that road
  11. Option for post and pre facelift USDM numbers. Can we get some picks and links of what jdm can be made to fit on what USDM bumpers , most the information is dated or buried at this point. Thanks
  12. Ya I have seen that somewhere but I think that is for post facelift , mine is is pre facelift 05 thinking I have seen this work on pre facelift bumper but never seen anything specific
  13. I would need 08 plus airbag and cover to though , right ?
  14. In Oregon oem 05 manual transmission , willing to ship but fyi scrapper offers me 750 for will need an offer above that with shipping
  15. If you are worried about it being reliable probably not , these cars require some pretty careful monitoring and maintenance
  16. Torque Solution Is the brand prices have gone up like everything will cost you about 200 for fork and ball but it will never break lol lot of people have suggested it's over kill and trany will break first but it does happen and I paid to have mine done so the idea of paying for another clutch job because of the fork was worth the extra money to me
  17. Worth mentioning it you will need matching clutch as well so if you already purchased the clutch probably a no go but man so worth it. The feel is way better on the single mass and the WRX flywheel is a fair be lighter also. When I first had it done car was bone stock and drivability was great still , no downside as far as I'm concerned . The stage one clutch and WRX flywheel was perfect and it's what my tuner uses on his rally car, he said anything 400hp or lower it is a perfect combo
  18. I got them both from my local tuner who installed them , flywheel was oem WRX like posted below , I will find my invoice later for brand on the fork and pivot ball if you like
  19. I have a concentric flare tool from my HVAC days . I have used it a bunch of times on other stuff , they are so much better than the other style makes flares easy. If you are into acquiring tools, they are so nice to have laying around The one everyone in HVAC buys is a 100 plus. I bought a cheap one from Amazon when I got itno HVAC and it served 5 years and still works
  20. Also if you end up doing the clutch itself ditch the oem dual mass flywheel and going with a WRX single mass, will thank me later
