lol sorry. next time ill say hes my buddy lol. yeah. he wanted to meet up this weekend or next. and i might be able to do it next weekend. but it depends on my schedule and if i can get time to go down there. one step at a time. i want to search and try to find a company who makes wheel bearings that will make a good product and also make them in a 5x114.3 lug pattern. -

My buddy's friend has the molds now. He is the new owner of all the Karlton flares and he is producing them. Karlton does not own them anymore. I actually just talked to my buddy's friend today. I should be meeting up with him In the next 2 to 3 weeks hopefully to talk about getting this going. -

Karlton sold all the molds to my friends buddy who now produces them. So contacting Karlton wont do any good. -

hes doing some reworks on the molds for some of the kits he already produces, then he said he should be able to work in my car. hopefully in the next few month i would assume since he didnt give me a time line, besides saying soon -
the new owner of karlton flares is planning to make a set of these for the lgt, he's good friends with my buddy. so he will most likely be using my car for mockup and first install. ill try n find out how soon he's looking to make a lgt set.

The 5.0xtr is a 2000$ turbo. You could easier put together a rotated uppipe precision turbo and downpipe for that price. Or even a single scroll borgwarner turbo setup -

Why not switch to a rotated setup? Since you are already replacing the uppipe Ect. Also no e85? -
i did the spec b shift linkage with an sti lockout cable. had the same problem you had where the cable seemed a little short. but you could always call the dealership and see if the spec b has a different part number than the sti. if so, it might be different lengths. i was able to make it work, just took me a while.

I paid about 600$ or so for my driveshaft shipped. A used driveshaft was about 150$ plus shipping. So around 400$ difference.

Not saying it can't handle it, I'm saying with higher mileage, and higher hp it puts strain on the joints. Will an auto driveshaft work. Yes. Would I rather do preventative maintence and spend the extra 400$ and do it once. And never have to worry about it again. I plan to track my car, so it's gonna be put under load alot more than a daily where you might do a few pulls here and there.

I did not want to buy a used automatic driveshaft. I wanted to replace as many parts as possible with brand new parts. Also to run a auto driveshaft you have to swap the diff flange and the custom driveshaft I had built is a lot beefier than the auto driveshaft. I'm doing a built where I plan to make 550-600whp on e85 so I'd rather no risk having a part fail on a used driveshaft(u joints Ect) I did a custom 2 piece.

His motor is toast because of the turbo failing and sent metal through his motor ^^
