What would you guys like next?

Recommended Posts

I need you guys help. I need to know how much space is between the motor and the flat spot on the back of the charge pipe near the bend. That is my only hold up to making a prototype. Thanks Bryan

Sorry I don't have any better pictures for you.

The clearance between the charge pipe and the upper cam cover is tight. Maybe 3/16" at best. I wouldn't be sure I could tell you 1/4" with absolute certainty. Then you have the clearance issue on the other size of the pipe, with the rad fan bracket assembly, and on the top side, with the rigid power steering pressure line.

Notice the notch on the cold side intake ... it's for fitment around the oil filter.

Hopefully you have LGT available for measurements and mock up ... otherwise, it will be very time consuming to produce.

I'd like to see the Ford's Eco Boost 2.0 Engine available or developed by Subaru for the Legacy and Outback. I drove a new 2013 Ford Escape as a loaner. i was very impressed with the drive train and seamless engine response. Eco Boost= a instant response Turbo, actually.

And, Subaru should consider a model that is a little more Upscale: very much like Acura / Honda. The nameplate would be important. I'm no marketing expert by any means, but IMO, it would move Subaru into another category. It seems to me just by looking around my NY Metro area, I'm seeing a tremendous increase in Legacies/Outbacks of recent vintage on road. Blowing Mazda out of the water...I've had 2 Mazdas, they are good cars, were trouble free (2005 Mazda 6 & a 2008 Mazda 3 (Too small and rough riding). Excellent handling & steering response [The Poor Man's BMW as they are referred as]. But like Subaru, still trying to move up the sales ladder with a broader market appeal.

Ok, thanks that is what I needed to know. If I make a cold air intake I will not replace the piece with the sensor that is connected to the turbo. I will just start from there.

Are you guys sure you really want a charge pipe? It's seems like it's a lukewarm response so far. I'm going to need to sell about 10 to be able to recoup the cost of paying a fabricator for prototypes and starting a production. I don't need deposits. I just need a list of people that want to buy if I make this and it fits properly. Bryan

I'm in just need an estimated price?... 100$ or 300$...

I'm trying to keep it around $150 shipped. I will know more once I start making prototypes. Bryan
