schado
Pretty good. It'll have no trouble keeping up and holding its own with my car (~stg 2 on 91). 08 NBP Legacy GT BNR16G E85 13 WRB WRX. TBE & Tune 07 FXT Sports. Stock
mass-hole
Random question, have you seen any improvement in MPG's? I know on some of the LSx cars there have been some good improvements, particularly on the highway where the car is sitting low in the rpms and your not mashing the gas. bomberlegacy
Nope mine is pretty horrible. I haven't calculated it yet but I don't really want to know.. Haha '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust
mass-hole
Nope mine is pretty horrible. I haven't calculated it yet but I don't really want to know.. Haha It's not important anyways. All that matters is that you have a 2.5i with a blower in it.
bomberlegacy
Yep! That's how I am looking at it. '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust
JmP6889928
Outstanding thread. Truly excellent job on the install. I would wonder about messing with the pulley size on the S/C to see what different results you could get from it.
bomberlegacy
I have a smaller pulley now vs the one I started with, it makes more boost. Can't do any more tho, it will be over the limits for the engine '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust

bomberlegacy
bored and made a video today. gonna swap back to oem crank pulley tomorrow because my belts are slipping and squeaking with the gimmick pulley. not building full boost with it either. bomberlegacy
The one thing I went cheap on.. Gimmick lightweight pulley. The grooves don't line up right with the belt. OEM pulley back on and I build smooth boost up to 8psi or so, and raising my shift points will help more. Not a great pic but you can kinda see the issue http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b514/sclegacy08/rps20130324_142139_zpsfc751117.jpg '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust

GEE-OTTO
I like the pulley to belt alignment shot. You think maybe the pulley was a bad piece/batch? You should ask about a return or exchange and see if the newer on aligns properly. If is did would you even switch back? Glad to see you tracking down the little things assoc. with this build that other may not think about
bomberlegacy
I would like to get another lightweight pulley, I've convinced myself it will help with the SC setup more than n/a or turbo. I bought the pulley used from someone here, but I may contact Gimmick and see what they say. The AC belt alignment looked about the same as the pic above.. modernfuse
I had the Cobb pulley and no issues but sadly that went with my car. I still might be able to get my hands on it.
bomberlegacy
Sure, if you don't mind. I have an OEM pulley to trade haha '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust
bomberlegacy
Grimmspeed the pulley installed and building full boost, I will be ordering the new version of my header soon, catless and a 2.5" collector. Then some more dyno/tuning time. Can't wait. '08 Legacy 2.5i - hybrid intake - delta 1000 - E85 - magnaflow exhaust
