My E85 Raptor SC 2.5i build

Changed oil & trans fuilds with Amsoil. My trans fluid was a nice caramel color, it seems to shift a lot better now. Also hooked up the trans cooler lines and the temp sensor. Almost done with everything!

Nothin different yet. Waiting on my wideband afr kit to get here, then I will get another e-tune, and finally go get the dyno tune. I am enjoying driving it, rarely get into boost.

 

I would highly recommend exhaust, injectors, E85, and a tune to any 2.5i.

New PLX wideband afr kit.. I got a bung welded into my exhaust today for the sensor. I'll wire up the gauge and control unit tomorrow evening and I will be ready to log a 3rd gear run.

PLX sells a cable that connects to the control unit and then usb to a computer. Nice but it's $70, so here is my homemade cord for $15..(thanks to a guide on romraider forums)

me too! Should be 2-3 more weeks...I have been working a lot and haven't had much time to work on the car. nothing major is left, just tedious stuff.

I didn't want to disassemble my glove box to plug in the usb cord for tuning, and I didn't want to leave it in the glove box forever, so I wired in this socket. Open the glove box, plug in the cord and tune.

I will be doing a 3rd gear log tomorrow for another e-tune(assuming my usb cord works). Then head to get my dyno tune soon after.

My CEL codes read rich, I assume that is because of the e85. I set my wideband gauge to e85 and it seems to be on the lean side. I didn't get out on the highway, but I'm not sure how I am running lean and getting 11.5 mpg at the same time. hah, oh well more tuning will help.

I feel like it..a little at least.

I can't get my homemade usb cable to work in rom raider..it just shows 10 all the time, and the $70 PLX cable is out of stock till next week.

I idle around 14.8 on the wideband, and it gets into the 16s and 17s when I get into boost and it starts cutting out. I am afraid to go WOT for my 3rd gear log.

I feel like an idiot..

My CEL has been on for a while for being rich..so now that I know its lean, i reset my ecu..lean issues fixed. I drove around for 5 min and the afr never got even close to what I was idling at before. WAY more power too. Its definitely heavy on the rich side, but that makes me feel way better.
