Why would you think that an impreza map of the same year would be safer then a legacy map?

Nothing to do with "safe" simply the fact that more 4EAT Imprezas have been modified than 4EAT Legacy 2.5is. same engine and gearbox so he could look to a modified Impreza map to get an idea.

The guy doing my tuning said he was going to post it, but I haven't seen it yet. Maybe I should.

Yah, you should post it up if you can. It's one of our local guys, dschultz, who has been doing lots (maybe all?) of the new Subaru definitions on Romraider - he does excellent work. The 'experimental' definition he released for mine worked great for my tuner.

Look for a Impreza 4EAT map of the same year that may help you get started and it will be a lot safer than stock ECU with a SC

That's like saying 5th gens should use impreza maps too. You make no sense. Maybe you should leave the tuning advice to the tuners

Thats me. The .bin file is all I could get. I read the ecu with ecuflash and it gave me the option to save or create definition. So I saved and that's what I got. I looked through some other definition requests and there were a few .bin files with results. I dunno

Another big issue.. I ran out of zip ties.. Ugh

Never mind the fact that I was one of the first 2.5i Legacys tuned and had to reference Impreza maps until my ECU got define, no I have no idea what Im talking about.

Anyhow, once your ECU is posted it shouldnt take long, you ever notice how the longest part of most builds F/I or N/A is the tune ? :spin:

Today I got the intercooler water pump primed and running like it should, made sure everything was good to go and installed the bumper. Almost done!

Relay for the water pump, just above the washer fluid reservoir.

That is 3.5" aircraft intake/heater duct. It is two ply so pretty smooth on the inside. Should be fine.

Use the ignore list ;)

Secondly, like the first sane response, if that intake is creating downstream turbulence it could wreak havoc when trying to get the tune dialed in right.

If the inside isn't perfectly smooth I would make the fender extension from a straight piece of 3.5" aluminum tubing and whatever degree angle piece needed to mate to the SC. :)
