The new downpipe will be available within a few weeks. The reason is to allow a few more options with regards to cats. Before, like with mine, you could only have one cat. Now, you have the option of having two cats.

I'll probably swap over to the new DP when it is ready.

High quality is an obsession of mine. TXS delivers. You guys won't be disappointed. I'll get pricing asap for you all.

Update!!!!

Fitment photos were sent to Australia, another prototype is being built now to be shipped over. Why another prototype?

This one will have a flex section and a resonator in it. Once that fit-check is done, everything will be go for production.

The mid-Y will be available as soon as possible. Mufflers are still in the works, but should be done soon. They'll be available separately when they come out.

Finally, a pick-and-choose exhaust!

Sorry for the slow updates. I've been working on cooking up something else over the past week or so. Not Subaru related, but probably one of the coolest automotive development side-projects out there.

A big, third muffler style resonator by chance?

Looking forward for another thread about this other cool project...

Probably not a muffler style resonator. Not enough room, really.

The other project is not Subaru related, unfortunately. I might be able to post something about it after I finish it up, and we are in live production though.

  • 2 weeks later...

I was over at TXS today, actually.

It should only be another week or so before the new prototype mid/y gets here!

The mufflers are still under development, though, since they are original design pieces. Hopefully they won't be far behind the mid though.

That's a bet I wouldn't take.

The longest part of this whole process has been the mufflers. It's not like you are just punching out some sheet metal, welding a perf-pipe into it, and pushing fiberglass into the openings.

This is actually a step beyond that kind of "custom" muffler. These are Subaru specific. I'm really excited to see what comes of it, but it will be unlike anything else on the market.

That is very interesting so are they making a muffler that handles the odd pairing of boxer engine exhaust pulses better than other OTS mufflers?

Thats the plan.

Those of us with ELH still going to sound good? (never mind just re-read TRSCobra's thread and you answered this in post #6)

Is the design of this entire system aimed at being quiet? Like quieter than SPTv2?

I only ask since you first introduced this system in TRSCobra's thread: "How much interest do people really have in a quiet high-flow exhaust?"
