  1. Sold my car so no longer need these roof rails. These were the factory roof rails for the 2005-2009 Legacy wagon. They were produced by Mont Blanc (model MB3747-B-02) and are very hard to find. I lost the rubber end cap so I covered with tape. $100+shipping.
  2. SOA is claiming they did the recall back in 2014 by applying the corrosive wax and given this failed 9 years later it is not related to the recall. At this point I am not really sure my options with SOA unless someone has an internal contact.
  3. Thanks. It is only the rear that has failed at the distribution block. I found the post about moving the distribution block under the rear seat and that seems like the best solution.
  4. Opened a case with SOA and the case was rejected as the car was old. I spoke with SOA stating that the car isn't high mileage, the car has been in CA for 1/3 of its life, and there isn't any rust besides some underside surface corrosion but they wouldn't budge. Unless anyone knows someone with SOA, I am going to file a NHTSA complaint and see if there is a cheaper alternative.
  5. Thanks. Did your dealer send this off to SOA first or did you engage SOA first? I don't know how they came up with a number 4x of yours for the same job. By any chance do you have any service documents you might be able to share via PM? Thanks
  6. I noticed a pool of brake fluid by the rear passenger tire and knowing this was likely related to the hard line brake recall I dropped off the car at the dealer. The dealer confirmed that they applied some anti-corrosive wax as part of the recall in 2014 and that the leak was coming from the brake hard lines. They also told me it would be over $4K to repair the hardlines from the front to the rear of the car My 05 wagon only has 135K miles and there is no rust besides some underbody surface corrosion. I can understand the rubber brake lines needing to be replaced with age, but the hard lines should last the life of the vehicle. Has anyone been successful in having SOA paying for the repair?
  7. Thanks, I actually only checked the tie rods (updated the OP). I have front remanufactured axles with 30k miles, so maybe they are on the way out?
  8. I have noticed a clunk/pop noise when I turn the steering wheel to full locks (U-turns or parking lots). There is a single clunk/pop noise which only occurs after I turn the wheels to almost full lock and then start unwinding the steering wheels back to center. It sounds like something is sticking after I unwind the steering angle. The front ball joints are new and there is the tie rods when I jacked up the car. Any insight would be appreciated.
  9. Finally got updated photos of the car and updated the listing.
  10. Year: 2005 Make: Subaru Model: Legacy GT Limited Wagon Color: Satin White Pearl; 1 of 109 LGT Ltd’s Interior: Black leather Miles: 132,000 Transmission: 5 speed manual Title: Clean Lien: None VIN: 4S3BP676656365501 Location: San Francisco, CA Asking Price: SOLD I have decided to sell my beloved LGT wagon after 12 years. I am the 2nd owner having purchased the vehicle from the original owner in totally stock condition in 2011 with 51k miles on the car. My goal for the car was to add performance, while also maintaining reliability and comfort. Because of this, mods were focused on improving performance while keeping the drivability and reliability as close to stock as possible. I succeeded with this vision and the car has been reliable all the way from 11,000ft elevations in Colorado to 120F heat in Death Valley. The car is mechanically sound is ready for many more miles ahead. This is not a show car and the exterior has slight hail damage, some dings on the front bumper and side panels, and a dent in the left rear quarter panel. The interior is in excellent condition and the car has never been smoked in. There was a minor low speed accident which slightly damaged the front bumper. The car has lived in the Midwest, East Coast, and West Coast so there is surface rust on the underbody. Overall, this is an extremely well put together Legacy GT wagon that is faster than an STI, but still has plenty of room for the family, home improvement projects and outdoor activities. Major maintenance items such as brakes, tires, and battery have all been recently replaced Car is tuned for 91 pump gas and e85 Dyno’d 290WHP on a Mustang dyno on low boost early on in the build Virtual dyno shows 300WHP on pump gas and 370WHP on e85 for the current tune Carfax Report - Carfax for some reason shows a 3rd owner (when I registered it in CA) which is not correct Additional Photos Mod List: Motor: Motor was built by Area1320 Motorworks, Nazareth, PA in May 2014. 11. Thanks for the inputs. Both CV axles have been replaced in the last 30k miles, so I hope it is not the issue. I will see if there is any play in the steering which might indicate a bad tie rod.
  12. A few months back my mechanic replaced both my front ball joints and top hats to fix a clunk from the front end along with doing an alignment. After this I noticed a binding/groaning noise from the front passenger side at slow speeds when making tight turns. Based on feedback on the forum I flushed my power steering fluid, but this had no impact. The power steering has been consistent and I haven't seen any leaking fluid. Any ideas on what i should check next?
  13. Thanks, I found my PS fluid at the min line. I am going to flush it and see if this resolves the issue.
  14. My mechanic recently replaced both my front ball joints and top hats to fix a clunking from the front end. While the clunking noise over uneven pavement is gone, there is now a groaning noise when I turn the wheel hard left/right at low speeds (such as parking). The noise only occurs at very slow speeds with significant steering wheel rotation. Any ideas on the cause and should I be concerned?
  15. I know many here will recommend HIDs, but currently I am looking for a low cost ( sub-$100 solution) to improve over my standard 55w H7 bulbs. I was planning on getting some KATANA H7 LED bulbs as a few reviews had success with LGT/Outbacks, but wanted to see if there were any other recommendations. Thanks
  16. Thanks, the 63531AG10B shows picture for wagon and lists outback so I assumed it was the wagon version. So it seems like used or junkyard is the best path forward?
  17. My wagon's passenger roof molding was damaged from vandalism and I am trying to replace the part. My dealer identified the replacement part as 63531AG10B, but when I received the replacement from the dealer it was for a sedan. The dealer believes that Subaru Parts mislabeled the part number at the factory, as they confirmed it is the proper part based on my VIN and they don't think ordering another will resolve the issue. Any ideas on how I can get a replacement? Is the best bet to find a legacy or outback in the junkyard? I couldn't find the part of eBay. Red car in picture of an example of the part needing to be replaced.
  18. Someone tried to break into my car by jimmying my passenger side door The top door molding which runs down the car is destroyed and I am hoping that is the extent of the damage. It appears that the part number is: 63531AG10B and if someone could confirm that would be appreciated. Is this something that can be fixed at home or does it require special tools to install?
  19. Roughness at 40 is an issue. Are all spark plugs recently changed? When I had high roughness values it was a coilpack going bad. How are you trims in learning view? Step 1 is to get closed loop running well, before moving to open loop and boost.
  20. Thanks. I forgot I upgraded those to group-n when the engine was being rebuilt. It looks like I might have covered the top wear items then?
  21. I wanted to know if there was a recommended list of bushings to replace given that my LGT is 17 years old? I imagine the best answer is to ask my mechanic when the car is on the lift, but I prefer not to make multiple visits as my mechanic is far away. I have previously done Whiteline front inner control arm and front lower control arm bushings along with Energy front and rear swaybar bushings. I also reviewed the "Complete Bushing Guide for BL/BP" which was helpful, but replacing everything is outside my budget. Any insight on which bushings commonly fail would be appreciated.
  22. The leather on my e-brake is coming detached. Is there a preferred way to fix this? I wasn't sure if there was a new replacement or if I should just gorilla glue it.
  23. Awesome. Looks like time to buy a replacement stalk and give this a try. Thanks
