Legacy Wagon
You got it pressed in? How much was the whole process?
rocktown1980
I paid about $45 for the bearing and about $4 for each seal. got em all at Advance Auto. My wife works at a dealership in town so i just brought the steering knuckle to them and they did it for free. I think they feel bad for me, our 01 kia rio is in there every other week getting worked on! but it only took like 20 minuets so i would imagine about $20 or $30 bucks in labor would get it done. Legacy Wagon
Lucky! That sucks about the kia though :/ Yeah, that's about what I paid.
rocktown1980
Yeah don't ever buy a first gen Kia Rio. they are crap. 06 and up are much better but i still wouldn't buy one again.
Legacy Wagon
I probably wouldnt buy too many Kia's, but I have a rule. Never buy the first year of a new or redesigned car. There's too many variables that they'll fix later and make a service bulletin without having a recall.
92.Legacy.SS
so im getting a wrx top mount 02-03 today lol and i have been thinking a lot of a custom rear revers light in the bumper but i dont know what side to put it in (left or right not the middle lol)
Legacy Wagon
You're getting a whale tail? I would cut out part of the bumper and install some lights in there yourself. Maybe install some lights about 2" off the sides of the center light. http://www.jdmengineland.com/images/BODYPARTS/02-04_IMPREZA_SPECC_WING.jpg

Legacy Wagon
Dang! That's cheap That's what the guy that was doing my tires up at Firestone was saying. He's like "well, you need new wipers, but I checked all under the car and everything looks fine." I was just smiling cause while I'm taking my 20 year old car off-road some people are having trouble with their 4 year old cars and daily driving. Liberty10
Today I took a drive out of the city (rare), to search for eBay-inventory treasures before the dreaded Frozen Stuff shows up. When that happens, I pretty much stay home. Now that I have (hopefully) the correct amount of AT fluid the car just ran beautifully. Oh wow, I was so happy to notice a difference right away. The foam and bubbles are still concerning me but I couldn't do any expensive or major repairs anyway, so I'm just going to cross my fingers on that one, for now. It was suggested to me that the bubbles might be an O-ring leaking or a tube loose? The one that sucks up the tranny fluid. Who knows Oh, and I bought some high mileage oil - a treat for my car.. lol.. It was either that or a bottle of wine for myself. I think that I made the right choice. I love my ugly car. p.s. My car now has 270,000 miles on it.. (or maybe it's Kilometres?) Either way, it's impressive.

Legacy Wagon
You'll have to use UV resistant clear coat. Mine is starting to turn a bit yellow after a few months. They're still not hazy, but they're yellowish. I'm not personally a fan of Rota's. http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQK1qJmZT2HhlBvRejBTofZm_VD6wmSQTOJWiRwtCAdHaqHRJNQpEGcCnInhttp://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSDl--kvUaCbzVMdDkJCP966cuKTEU5bi5yyDMHG-H63EBJFqoq31b_a81W http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ4WHdikurcjLkvibDl5A8tfxTM49KrTeubHc0fdmrq2ja1BDKqG1vmm9Ywhttp://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTQbTkuDvzBtc8LwmAGhaJMMZ3gSch-XNp0EtmWjbU0M4CNJyATQFYPVaYtyQhttp://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTYUs1FPTXOq4E1tGl4_huv8jcZLvpWO5wkXZlU_v_ivY977aWF4bAwSt24yg http://www.golivewire.com/forums/img.cgi?i=93050 http://honda-tech.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=210999&d=1306174671http://www.clublexus.com/forums/attachments/sc-400-300/155518d1256485613-18x9-5-20-rota-haters-please-do-not-click-broken-rota.jpghttp://www.golfmkv.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=36642&stc=1&d=1231020130 http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_7UHICy8Etfo/TEdKbPqH28I/AAAAAAAAKsw/W67yUTy232o/s1600/dr-strangelove-1.jpg Edited October 17, 2011 by Legacy Wagon
