Frogg
are they legacy seat rails lower than the wrx ones anyone know? or does the wrx seat just sit higher? i put in the wrx seat w/ wrx rail and i'm sitting higher...
Baddog
WRX seats sit higher. I am 6'3 and it took a few days to get used to. Going from the stock L seats to the WRX seats was a big improvement. So it will take a day to get used to. You will feel really tall. But it pays off in the end. Frogg
yeah I'm 6'5" and was like whoa...but they've been in a week already I am used to it, just wondering
Frogg
anyone know if the jdm side skirts are different from the gt ones?
Zues Marine
they have a dip through the center but overall the difference is small
carnumber19
Did those WRX seats let you sit any farther back from the pedals? I'm 6' 3" as well, and at the two hour point or so my knee and hip start to hurt.
Zues Marine
I don't remember the legacy seats but the wrx ones get you pretty far back
The Grouch
Where you guys been finding your wrx seats?? Just from junkyards??
Zues Marine
some from yards but ive found them over priced there... hover around nasioc.com and rs25.com alot of guys that swapped to sti seats sell them for cheap.. im talking $50ish with local pickup
0Tyrael0
Zues So that link to the ebay intake will that bolt up without any mods?
Zues Marine
it depends on what seller you get it from, there are some that sell the tube with only 2 inputs for the 3 vacuum lines, others have all three, but theres no way to know which is which unless you ask them...other than that, its, bolt on.. super easy install dont forget the 3" maf adapter though like i did, ha
0Tyrael0
Nice sounds like an easy upgrade. Ill look around on ebay. And responding about the exhaust (trying to keep everything on the right thread): really 2.25 is the best? I have someone who does custom exhausts for me all the time so I can pretty much have any size I want. I was thinking 2.5 but 2.25 works better? Zues Marine
if you get cams and go "stage 2" with header back exhaust, 2.5" will be the best, but with just intake and no internals 2.5 will be causing you to loose too much back-pressure, losing power
0Tyrael0
Alright what about the stock muffler? I dont think it looks too bad. How restrictive is it? I would just adapt it to my exhaust. I already have a crazy loud car so I want my GT to have a bit of sound but still be a GT kind of car. Know what I mean? And yeah min will be totally strait piped. Does that matter? Zues Marine
if you want a stock look with a small and quiet, but still noticeably different to the trained ear, a sti or wrx stock catback will do the trick for you
0Tyrael0
Ah I like that idea. At the very least I could use a stock sti muffler. Thanks

Should I just drill a hole and find a way to get it to stay on the intake or did you come up with a specific solution?
