GEE-OTTO
Thanks GEE-OTTO! I was looking at a Magnaflow cat that has 2 bungs built-in with a 2.25inch inlet/outlet. There's 2 different models for it though. One has a 2inch core and the other has a 2.5inch core. Do you know if the size of the core makes a difference in sound, volume, etc? Also, why does the OBX design look different than the ebay/Borla one? OBX (courtesy of Subie2.5i) http://www.legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=72899&d=1251823394 eBay/Borla http://left.uits.iupui.edu/amk/HD-018/HD-018-A.jpg The core size of the catalyst is the actual dia. of the converting material I would go 2.5" but if you are going to use 2.25 inch piping go with the 2 inch cat. Those Magna flow cats are NICE! The OBX are Equal Length aftermarket header they wont change the sound of you car and it you look at the ebay video they make them in some cases sound more Honda-is like this [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIGHeSGIyHo]YouTube- Exhaust v1.1 TWE header, Hooker Max Flow Muffler, glasspack midsection[/ame] YUCK sounds like my YZ 125 With your setup you will sound like MSPRO look and read and be happy: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60348&highlight=MSPRO The eBay replica headers are equally good they have thick flanges and arent prone to cracking like the real deal first generation Borlas
GEE-OTTO
Has anyone put a cherry bomb on their car? I have never seen a CB on a 2.5i but im sure it cant be that bad when couple with the rest of your exhaust. It you let it dump to atmosphere then I may laugh at you
N.sane
I guess I'll go with the 2" cat then. And OBX is out of the question now that I know it's an EL haha. Is there a difference in noise/sound suppression with the diameter of the resonator? Magnaflows range from 4" to 7"..

Is there a difference in noise/sound suppression with the diameter of the resonator? Magnaflows range from 4" to 7".. My Magnaflow is a 6inch round 2.5 inch resonator. The sound suppression and volume correlate with displacement the 4 inch will do fine and it will tuck in the existing blimps space well if you go larger it has a chance of dragging on low spots. The 4 incher will work fine for our engine size

dudeondacouch
Most tire places have nitrogen now, but really it's not worth it unless it's free. Regular air is about 80% nitrogen anyway.
