'63 Ford Fairlane, rusted with a faded puke green paintjob

followed shortly by a '74 Dodge Dart, in which everything that contained fluid leaked, and the LCA would slide back and forth about 2 inches every time I made a turn.

:) cheap 1st cars ftw

My first car was a purple '95 Sunfire that I bought with 132K. I had it for four years with no problems. Then I went to a '04 Sentra and now I have my '05 LGT. I plan to drive it into the ground.

1990 Dodge Ram LE W350 Cummins Turbo Diesel. 4X4, 5 speed manual, big tires on GMC 8 lug 16" rims and Rancho shocks with an aftermarket deck and some custom speaker mounting. I rebuilt most of the truck except the motor and transmission. The thing was nasty for its time, with power windows and locks and even broken AC!

http://i338.photobucket.com/albums/n415/Wargrimes88/Dodge/Ram.jpg

This was my exact truck midway through the build. Took a long time to complete, but it was pretty nasty when it was all done. I swapped the tires for BFGoodrich A/T's. I was young and stupid and took the truck out for a long time without any registration or insurance. Eventually I got it stuck in 3 feet of clay and some punks burned it to the ground. All in all it was a waste of $4,000 worth of parts alone, and 4 years of labor. This truck has been gone for a long, long time now but it's still probably my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. The first gen Legacy and my 86 F150 Stepside are tied for second place.

Other than that truck I've owned... (In no particular order)

2001 Hyundai Elantra (2.0L, Auto) Blew up 2 transmissions before 100K miles. Advice: If you're gonna get a Hyundai, get a manual transmission. Shortly after this car died I got the notice in the mail that my license had been suspended. No more driving for me for a while.....

1991 Nissan Sentra (1.6L, Auto) This is the same car you see in the first pic with the Dodge, but at the time it belonged to my aunt as a DD. I didn't get it till quite a while after the Dodge died, at which time I put a lawn tractor hood scoop on it with a cherry bomb side pipe exhaust and a Master Lock trunk latch with a VW spoiler on the roof. Piston rings wound up breaking apart. Got rid of it for $35 from the scrap man.

1995 Honda Accord (2.2L, 5 Speed Manual) Gave this one to a friend because I can't stand Honda's. I fixed the clutch master and slave cylinders first though.

1986 F150 Stepside (4.9L Inline 6, 4 Speed Manual) Same truck you see in the pic with the Sentra above. There was a time when my yard literally looked like a junkyard. Sadly, this was only a couple years ago in the midst of my drinking and drugging days.

1997 Nissan Pathfinder (3.3L, Auto) My most recent purchase. Great condition aside from a little rust on the bumpers. Fully loaded with all the features you could ask for in 1997. Already replaced the spark plugs, front brakes and rear shocks. Runs like a dream. I never thought I'd say this, but I miss the get-up-and-go of the Subaru. Sometimes I think this thing can't get out of its own way, especially when you need it too.

& the 1992 Subaru Legacy (2.2L, Auto) The first car I bought when I got my license back. After working several shit jobs within walking distance, and fighting to pay utility bills this $700 beast was all I could afford. I honestly think it was the best $700 I ever spent all at once. I certainly got my money's worth, and it allowed me to get the good job I have now so I could upgrade every aspect of my life. No more struggling to pay bills on time, getting my deadbeat ass rides to work, no more borrowing money to pay expenses. This car turned my life around for the better. It certainly doesn't owe me a damn thing.

1986 Dodge omni GLH (Shelby)

That was a bad idea for a high-school kid to drive! I put 36,000 miles on it in one year, and a set of tires.

My brother drove it backwards into a tree at about 75mph, I miss that car.

A cream colored, red cloth interiored (if that's a word) 1982 Saab 900S. That thing could take a beating and lasted many a winter up here but finally took a dirt nap at 200K. Loved that little POS.

I had a '84 900S manual in silver with a maroon cloth interior. I loved that car. One of my all-time favorites. I replaced it with a '85 900 Turbo automatic with leather that I never liked as much as the 900S.

He must have spun the back end into a tree. It's not possible to go 75 mph in reverse. Reverse gear is generally the same gear ratio as first gear, so your top speed in reverse would be the same as your top speed in first gear.

I honestly have to say that after working on both the V8 Thunderbird and the V6 Supercoupe, I like the V8 better. But the Supercoupe is far more rare, especially in that condition with that little mileage.

it was a I4 turbo. in 1989 it switched to the v6 supercoupe.

My first was a 1991 Integra:

Have a lot of work done to it, and had alot of plans for it still, but i started to lose interest and became frustrated after i kept having issue after issue with the B18C swap/install that i had a local shop do (the one thing in the car i didn't do myself). Currently, it's sitting in my garage next to my leggy, waiting to be parted out for parts for the suby.

1997 Ford Contour SE 2.5L

- leather seats (lol)

- broken A/C

- leaking trunk

- paid $2,800 for it with 50k on the odo
