Jacks GT
We have hundreds of current, previous and favourite car threads, but I've never seen a "First" car thread....so here it is. My first official car was an MG Metro Turbo, not too diferent to this one. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/bb/1989.mg.metro.arp.jpg/800px-1989.mg.metro.arp.jpg
max_bobby
1989 VW Golf Diesel. Half Million Km on it when I got it. I bought it for 500 dollars, sold it for 1500. I miss that car. Every time it rained, I had a swimming pool on passenger side floor.

Legend
Very fun first car! '69 Bug kit car freshly built... I'll have to dig up the specs on it but it was a LOT of fun and the girls at my high school (this was 1985!) loved it even more than me. Sequential turn signals, one-piece fiberglass front end, fat 295 tires and pretty quick. Took it to high school drags in '86 and ran 15.8 at 5800' (quick for the 80s and high school). Drove it sophomore and junior year until it was replaced with a brand new 1st gen CRX Si in '87. People loved it or hated it, that's for sure. http://beeez.com/lgt/yellowbug3lo.jpg http://beeez.com/lgt/yellowbug4lo.jpg http://beeez.com/lgt/yellowbug2lo.jpg My '05 LGT My '07 Supercharged Shelby

DarkOblivion000
'95 Corolla... No power going up hills but she was my first baby Lots of memories in that car... That model still had the bulbs behind the instrument panel that were not integrated into the panel like the Legacies these days, and I replaced them with blue LEDs that matched my head unit for some awesome ambient lighting. It was pretty sweet. Legend
Engine BEHIND the rear axle... now that's wicked safe  Luckily I was never rear-ended. Although some jackasses in HS would mess with my engine... After beating somebody in a race, I'd turn all 8 of those sequential signals.. was very cool.. like this, but 4 on each side: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SJIMkQTF6jc&feature=player_embedded]YouTube - Left signal light[/ame] My '05 LGT My '07 Supercharged Shelby

franklin
1958 mga. When I was in high school in the early 70's a guy a few years older had two 1959 MGA's. One was inspectable and one ran good. He would get the one inspected and undo the 4 bolts and swapout the windshields and frames. Life and cars were simpler then
Bolksey85
88 Ford Ranger, 2.3, 5spd, 2WD, 140K miles. My dad bought it for me from my uncle for maybe $1500 with a new clutch, u-joints and faded paint. Drove it for maybe 7-10 months before the next POS came along. Dad sold it to a co-worker's son who beat the sh1t out of it before falling asleep and wrapping it around a telephone pole.
