1967 dodge charger junkyard car. I bought it for $600 and a 12 pack of beer. Didn't run when I bought it but got it to start 2 weeks later. lots of fun even though it had only the 383 under the hood, vomit stains in the carpet, a cracked windshield, and a primer gray paint job. BUT MAN DID IT GET UP AND GO!

1979 Ford E150 cargo conversion van. Oh that's right I had the pedobear special van in lovely turd brown and gun shot holes in the sliding door. In case you are wondering yes there was carpeting on the ceiling among all the other "additions" such as the ketchup dispensor style sink, and folding rear seat bench. Did I also mention the fact that it maybe ran on 5 or 6 of the 8 cylinders and had a rod knock you could hear a block away? Some how I was able to limp that thing for 5 years before the brakes suddenly gave out and I slammed into the back of a Grand Cherokee.

I drove one of those once for a summer camp as a bus to and from activities, those things have "screaming metal death trap" written all over them. Mine had no windows, the rear seat wasn't actually bolted down to anything, cross your fingers and hope you don't die brakes, no air conditioning, and no radio... Plus most of the interior was full of nasty stains... Those poor kids deserved soo much better than that...

IIRC the only two windows that did open were the front ones. The rear fold-a-bed also wasn't bolted down. I remember coming out of the mall and walking up to the van to find a family that parked next to me staring inside as if the owner lived in it.

My dad and I were building up a 65 Mustang convertible, while doing that I found this for sale local for a steal. Engine was rebuilt and ran perfect. Only issues was some rust in the floor pans and trunk which was the only major repair needed.

Had it for 4 years, was rough selling it, but needed something to get to and from work in all types of weather and could not afford another car.

My first car...

That I had use of: a 1981 Monte Carlo V6 in powder blue. This was in 1993/1994.

That I bought myself: a 1988 Mustang LX hatchback in bright canyon red. About a year later, while working to buy something.

Neither of which were manual transmission, regrettably.

The 1993 Probe GT to follow in 1999 was a manual, however, but wrong-wheel-drive. Otherwise it was quite a nice little car.

First was a 1988 F-150. 4WD, 302 V8, 5-speed, base as base could get. Crank windows, manual locks/mirrors, blue vinyl seats and blue vinyl floors. AM only radio that was quickly swapped out for a tape deck so I could rock the tape adapter with a Discman velcro'd to the dash. Ran that from when I turned 16 (2000) Till graduation in highschool in 2003.

Next was a 1998 GMC Jimmy. SLT trim. Leather, power everything, every option except seat heaters and moonroof. Absolute POS, spent most of the year and a half I owned it fixing stuff. Bought it right before graduation in the spring of 2003, traded it fall 2004.

I somehow didn't learn my lesson and bought another GM. 2003 Silverado with the 4.8 V8, 4WD and automatic. No options other than that. Put an AEM intake, exhaust and programmer into it and it was a blast to drive. It'd chirp second on full acceleration. But after it hit 60k I was replacing something every month. Bought in the fall of 2004, traded spring 2008.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a370/03NHSilvy/Silverado.jpg Ran it at the dragstrip. 16.6@86 MPH. I pulled the headlight based on the recommendation of a Mustang guy in line with me (the filter was right behind the headlight).

After that came the Tacoma. Nice truck but it had some minor issues Toyota refused to address and the local dealer customer service SUCKED. Leased in April 2008, traded in earlier this month.

Now I have the 2010 LGT.

My second car, Cavalier 2001 Z24 turned commando style with rhino liner! This thing was so rough it was like I had 80 grit sand paper all over the car.

The last pic shows why I did this to the car besides the fact that it stopped people from parking next to me and bashing there doors on my car.

1975(originally purchased by my father in 1974) Volvo 240 in a deep red/maroon color. 4-spd stick that vibrated like it was gonna splode at 100mph. I inherited the car when I got my license in 1985. It may not have been quick but it was solid - like Sherman tank solid. Once I put in a Alpine tape deck, amp and speakers it was awesome. U2's October and Unforgettable Fire and the occasional Bruce Springsteen Born to Run playing loud enough to rupture your ear drums...ahh, good times. Loved the freedom that car bought.
