2 Exotics I loved as a lad:

I was more of a Lamborghini fan than Ferrari growing up. I loved the fact that they were less refined and more brutish.

Of course the McLaren was just so ahead of it's time, it absolutely kicked butt.

Yes, I think that's brand new.

I know it's a brand new model, I'm just not sure if that particular car is a preproduction car or if it is a production car. That exact car was the one at the Chicago Auto Show. Our dealership does all the Audis for the Chicago Auto Show so we get to see them up close and personal before our area does. I also saw the new 09 S4 and played around with it a little.

Nice! Just the right stance and the perfect wheels for the car. What's the drivetrain consist of?

Thanks!! I did all the work myself save for paint and body.

It's a 11:1 Vortec based SBC with Keith Black Pistons, powdered rods, steel crank, lightly cleaned up Edelbrock RPM heads and intake, Comp Hydro-Roller cam, Holley carb, Scorpion 1.6 rockers, Comp solid pushrods, MSD 6AL box, coil and distributor, Holley "Black" fuel pump and Hooker full length headers with a custom Flowmaster exhaust. Trans is basically just a stock TH-350 with a 2500-2800 stall convertor and a shift kit. The rear is the original front loader with a highway gear. I am looking to swap the trans for an overdrive unit and swap the rear for the 4.11 posi unit I have sitting in my garage. It pulls pretty hard up top, but with the open rear and tall gearing, it will incinerate the one tire and it's a little sluggish down low. Still a work in progress, but it probably always will be!!

Love the 8-series V12. Too bad they are so expensive to feed with parts. An 850CSi would be fantastic, if one could survive the maintenance requirements.

And that makes the car such a gem; anyone owning it is either mechanically proficient and/ or has big money.

There's nothing wrong with a 1 tire fryer when a car looks that good.;) And being 11:1 with a roller and Al heads, I'll bet it has no issues at all with burning them off.

beautiful blue.

Mexico Blue ^ is very striking, but I much prefer Cobalt Blue, like this:

If Subaru won't put forward a coupe with a turbocharged boxer engine, AWD, and a 6-speed stick, then I guess I have to wait for the only OTHER car to offer that stuff to come down in price.
