Check with your local/area enthusiast communities, to see if your local enforcement (including traffic enforcement - i.e. "cops") will take exception to lighting modifications. Each locale is different, both with actual rules in the book ("inspections," etc.) as well as how street-level enforcers may view such modifications. If you do will the high beams pretty much not work, as in how much does the high beam rely on the reflector portion vs direct light beam? Factory blacked out, with clear indicator and Philips SilverVision globes to give it the finishing touches.
