I wonder how Plastidip would hold up in the housings.

Either way I was planning on doing OBP to match the exterior paint, should look nicee

I painted my housing with plasti dip 3 years ago. Never had any problems, i'd say it's safe to do.

There really isnt room for these DRL's on the 5th gen legacies that dont already have fog lamps installed is there? http://www.carid.com/universal-lighting/led-daytime-running-lights-326562.html. Also interested to see what people think about these or any variations of these lights. http://www.carid.com/universal-lighting/evo-lighting-universal-accessories-7589998.html. Thanks for your input.

very nice looking ndmx52.

Did you have any problems separating the lenses, did you bake or heat gun them?

Use any extra sealant or just reheat what was left on there?

I will be doing this soon I have all the parts sitting around but I have to get the clutch/tbelt in my Impreza so I can drive it if I do not finish this in one weekend.

No problem opening them. Oven at 280 for 9-10 minutes. Then to seal them up I didn't add any sealant (since it was the first time I opened the set). Just 280 for 7 minutes, then used clamps to keep pressure while they cooled.

I can't attest to whether or not I kept the moisture out at this point, but I'm pretty sure they will be just fine. Added a silica gel packet double side taped to each one just to be on the safe side to soak up any possible moisture.

Those switchbacks are really nice.

Couple questions for you: Are those the stage 1 or 2 bulbs? Also, do you have any idea if an LED flasher module be used with LEDs in the front and standard bulbs in the back, or should do I have to get their resistor kit?

I use a CF18 flasher module for my stage 2 switchbacks in the front and standard incandescent tails. I'm going with the Tap-a-Turn module though - I still have a delay flash when locking/unlocking via the fob.

Thanks. I'll look into the Tap-a-turn too.

Do you think the Stage 2's are worth the extra money? I like the level of brightness in Smashcrunk's video. If the Stage 1's are dimmer than that I'd be disappointed.

Finally got my angel eyes wired up.

Installed my time delay relay. Got it from Wolstentech. 1.5 second delay for the halos to turn on when the car starts and 4 second delay to turn off once the car is turned off. They are adjustable so I can change the timing how I like. For now its just what I wanted.
