tdoggydog
I never tried it without the added deflector - had it installed upon purchase. Oh well - maybe it was okay without it???

BigInALegacy
Nice, now just ditch the dealer plate frames and you'll be all set!
smkinsally
i actually took them off today but they look weird with no frame. was looking at just straight black frames. Not sure yet still looking for a replacement
BigInALegacy
I think chrome/stainless plate frames look nice on the QSM. I kept "2.5 GT" on my trunk, so I have a little bit of chrome left there to accent it with.
edekba
ya a chrome line (thin) looks pretty nice ... i got the one from the dealership that says subaru on the bottom ... i'm okay w/that.

sdvictor
Not exactly a legacy...but...my QSM Outback http://www.subaruoutback.org/gallery//500/15338img_0380_1.jpg Didn't get tags yet: http://www.subaruoutback.org/gallery//500/15338img_0379_1.jpg Interior (with bluetooth right in front of SI-Drive switch): http://www.subaruoutback.org/gallery//500/15338img_0383_1.jpg The Window Peanut Gallery (V1, parrot BT mic, XM antenna): http://www.subaruoutback.org/gallery//500/15338img_0377_1.jpg
Soda Popinski
Spec-B has bluetooth? The f*ck?
BigInALegacy
He's got an outback with navigation... not a spec-b. And the bluetooth kit is an aftermarket kit if I'm seeing this correctly. The company is called PARROT and makes a kit for the legacy/outback. You could put one in your car too. Very nice though... I like the QSM on the OB. sdvictor
Yep...it's a parrot CK3000 kit....in an outback. I wished they had the OB w/ nav in 5 (or in my wildest dreams, 6) speed. But 5EAT is the only choice. It's a clear disadvantage because it seems like everytime I rent a car in europe, I have to "re-acclimate" myself to a stick. here's a clearer view here: http://www.subaruoutback.org/gallery//500/15338img_0376_1.jpg

What is your Bluetooth switch connected to? Shouldn't there be a receiver mounted somewhere on the dash?
sdvictor
Dumdum. I installed it the way Parrot does it. The website shows this picture: http://www.parrot.biz/fr/produits/ck3000evolution/texte_fck/image/photo-017.jpg Which is pretty simple to do: 1- Drill the hole in the shift console plastic piece when installing it 2- Run the controller cable through the back through the hole. you can configure the controller to either have the cable to out the top, bottom, or back; so I went with the back. 3- Connect it to the BT reciever unit, which I jammed under the dash. (it requires you to open the dash up)
Soda Popinski
I dunno, the profile seems kinda high. Any way to flush mount it?
BigInALegacy
With enough work and creativity, I'm sure. All it is (as far as interface) is that button/control unit he showed there. You could mount it somewhere less conspicuous too, like by the wiper heater controls. Or you could fab a flush mount for it I'd imagine... just takes some skill and creativity. Cubbypod mount? What about that blank tab near the gauge brightness / mirror adjustment / traction control panel? There's a blank tab in the middle on my car.
