He's got an outback with navigation... not a spec-b.

And the bluetooth kit is an aftermarket kit if I'm seeing this correctly. The company is called PARROT and makes a kit for the legacy/outback. You could put one in your car too. ;)

Very nice though... I like the QSM on the OB. :)

Yep...it's a parrot CK3000 kit....in an outback. I wished they had the OB w/ nav in 5 (or in my wildest dreams, 6) speed. But 5EAT is the only choice. It's a clear disadvantage because it seems like everytime I rent a car in europe, I have to "re-acclimate" myself to a stick.

here's a clearer view here:

Wait a minute - am I missing something? What is your Bluetooth switch connected to? Shouldn't there be a receiver mounted somewhere on the dash?

Dumdum. I installed it the way Parrot does it. :p

The website shows this picture:

http://www.parrot.biz/fr/produits/ck3000evolution/texte_fck/image/photo-017.jpg

Which is pretty simple to do:

1- Drill the hole in the shift console plastic piece when installing it

2- Run the controller cable through the back through the hole. you can configure the controller to either have the cable to out the top, bottom, or back; so I went with the back.

3- Connect it to the BT reciever unit, which I jammed under the dash. (it requires you to open the dash up)

With enough work and creativity, I'm sure.

All it is (as far as interface) is that button/control unit he showed there. You could mount it somewhere less conspicuous too, like by the wiper heater controls.

Or you could fab a flush mount for it I'd imagine... just takes some skill and creativity. Cubbypod mount? ;)

What about that blank tab near the gauge brightness / mirror adjustment / traction control panel? There's a blank tab in the middle on my car.

Oh...good thought. I think I may have found my Bluetooth module! Finally! As it seems the 09's don't have any hands free devices installed.
