Pako
So far I just have just tinted the windows. Rear lip spoiler coming, looking for a front lip spoiler. With the nasty winters here in NW Montana, I'm waiting on wheels/tires until the spring. Anyways... Here's a couple shots from this morning. http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/3751/dsc0104ff1.th.jpg http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/8305/dsc0103ag6.th.jpg
dmiller5
Does anyone have jdm side strakes yet? I am thinking about getting those and the exhaust finishers to finalize my exterior. Also, is our color available in japan? I have a bad feeling I will have to repaint the strakes if I get them.

psi365
Just got my RBS V2 spoiler the on tuesday. Just waiting for night when I work late so I can put my car inside for a bit and warm it up to install it. Stupid IL weather going from 87-56. BigInALegacy
Cool pics wrx034, what's that building your parked in front of? PSI - PM'ing you some tips for install. Try to save you some headache.
ckonegr
BigInALegacy, Can you send me your install tips too? I installed mine the other night, but as the weather has cooled I'm not really happy with the gaps. It's not really easy to fit it tight with tape on two sides of the spoiler underside. Pako
Just put my rear lip spoiler on last night, compliments of Rommel. Picture taken in low lighting. http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/9139/dsc0114rearlipqz8.jpg

psi365
Just put my rear lip spoiler on last night, compliments of Rommel. Did you have any fit issues? I ran into some complications with mine. Its like mine is twisted and I could never get it to line up at all. Rommel is taking care of it, but I was wondering if anyone had any issues like I did. BigInALegacy
CKOne - PM with tips sent Pako - very nice! PSI - good to hear things are being remedied. GL, hopefully your not spoiler-less for too long!
Pako
Pako - very nice! Thanks! PSI - Didn't have any 'twist' like issues. The spoiler didn't have as much of a curve as the trunk so there's a little pressure at both ends. I have a little tape not sticking to the spoiler on the ends which is causing it to pull up a little. I think there might have been a little fiberglass dust on the spoiler when the tape was first put on... Got some new tape coming so we'll fit it again... Hey man, it looks like your problem is you didn't line up the top and bottom perfectly. That's what I did my first time and I ended up reinstalling. If you look, the curve on the spoiler doesnt match the trunk perfect, and the bottom is sitting more on the trunk than the top, causing parts of the tape not to stick. I'm gonna post my 'tips' in a thread called 'Installing Rommel's RBS v.2 Trunk Spoiler' so everyone can see them. I also put a pic so you can see what mine looks like. Notice the difference in how the curves match up on mine (after my 2nd try). Reapply new tape if needed (plan on it) and follow the tips in my thread and it should work out ok. http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb158/chrisgemail/img160.jpg

Look at the comparisons. I'm on the left and you're on the right. I event drew a guide line for comparison. http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/5782/installcomparisonpp8.jpg
Pako
In further looking at the close up picture of the end, it appears that the curve of the trunk doesn't lineup with matching curve of the spoiler.
BigInALegacy
Looks close, the guideline actually skews it a bit because I can't see where the bottom is lining up exactly. I do notice this is the other side from what you first posted, so you may have the other side higher? It looks like in your first picture if you shifted the spoiler up 1/4in (give or take) it would fit the contour of the trunk perfectly. Just a thought based on my first install. I did post that How To thread... same title as above. Check it out if you'd like. It's got my tips on how I did it my second time from what I learned the first time. BigInALegacy
Yup... writing at the same time! It looks like your drivers side may have a better fit than the passenger's side, suggesting maybe the passenger side is in fact a tad higher. That was the case on my first install too. I had my father (auto-buff dude) help me cause I figure it would be easier, so we each took an end, and I guess we both had different ideas of where it should line up and it ended up being a little off. That contributed to my re-install, but the whole thing was botched on my part really.

I took out the guidelines and edited my post. It does look like mine might be a tad lower. When I was dry fitting it, I could get it to not bow, but then the angel was pretty extreme and not enough of the surface of the tape would have fit flush with the trunk. It's hard to explain but will definitely check out your How To! Thanks for the help!
BigInALegacy
Yeah I think it is a tad lower... and that little bit will cause it to not hug that contour of the trunk perfectly and cause the tape to not adhere everywhere. When you read my How-To, look where I stress the line on the edge of the trunk where the bottom of the spoiler hits. I think you'll see what I mean. No problem with the help... I'm gonna hit the sack now! Lemme know what you find.
