Official Quartz Silver Metallic Thread

Recommended Posts

thanks, i'm not that big of a fan either but i wanted to try something different for this car and i like the way it turned out. next summer i wanna grab a set of those BBS 04 sti wheels and powdercoat them matte black if i'm stil into the black wheels look. the spoiler is the RBS Version II Lip. i shopped around almost bought the ebay m3 lip but after seeing it on another LGT i had to get it.

i can't say i hate the turbo badge on the car but i can't say i love it either. maybe its one of those things that grow on you after seeing it a few times. i kinda like the fact that the only thing that says turbo on my car is the scoop on my hood.

Here's my contribution. I'll snap some better pics after she gets a bath... ;)

Just got the new grill today and put her on. Same Carbon Fiber as SmknSally has... matches my hood scoop nicely I think. :)

Only thing is, it was gonna take a few extra days to have the mesh painted black, so seeing I'm an impatient bastard I figured I'd get it now in Silver, so that I could see how I like it like that and then I could paint it black or body colored by myself if I wanted.

Lemme know what you think, and if I should keep the mesh or paint it black or try to match the body paint. :)

oh, and there will be an emblem going back on. likely the OEM badge unless I can find an L7 or a B4 emblem.

Any opinions on mesh color?

:munch:

Black fo sho. I want the cf grill myself. Did you also order the front lip? I wanna know if the hood scoop, grill, front lip, and rear spoiler would be TOO much cf accents. As that's what I'm thinking of doing.

I dont think the mesh looks bad! Some people can be over critical on this forum, but they are entitled to their opinions. I think the mesh looks good with the car color! I have the black mesh on mine and looking at yours makes me think that we could go either way with our car colors.

SmknSally - I didn't think the contrast was bad, however the chrome mesh was too much I think.

I painted it today and I did decide to go with a gloss-black, I'll see how that lives with me for a few days now.

If I feel like it looks too much like a gaping hole I may try body matching the mesh, but for now I think it looks good. Still gotta get an emblem for it though, don't wanna rip mine off the stocker. I think that will help to break up the blank space a bit too.

Well here's before and after pics:
