leggtnut
Looks good to me. I was thinking the exact same thing. Unlikely to be functioal for a front spoiler, but definatally more protection from driveways and high parking space bumps. I noticed that yours is the more plastic type than the more foam type. I saw them at the hardware store yesterday and was planning on doing this, but don't have the time right now so will get it at a later date. abakja1
Yes,..I got the harder rubber style type,..Saw the foam one which was cheaper,..but knew it wouldnt last to any abrasions or in weathered time,..

Spec B
Well as expected,..the same material was like $18 at Lowe's and a little cheaper at $15 at Home depot,.. At first, I wasnt sure how to mount it, then when I got to looking at the pictures,..I figured how far out the material was supposed to stick out,..I ended up using 3M adhesive and some screws to hold it it place,.. Overall Im satisfied even if it wont function as a front splitter,..it will protect the underside of my front bumper from high parking space bumps and low drive ways,... abakja1
I would spend the $$ if shipping to 808 didnt cost too much!!! Im sure for a front lip it would be at least $60-100 not cause of the weight,..but the size of the box,.. Im all for ghetto if it serves a purpose,..In my case,..no more front rashes cause of driveways and parking bumps,..
speeddr7
Thats why I didnt buy a front lip. I couldnt justify spending over $60 dollars for shipping alone. So this looks like a good idea to me. I think I might try it Who needs tickets to the gun show?
sashadg1
What is the brand and name of the product? I went to Lowes and they had about 20 differnt kings. Nothing hard Rubber though. All really soft rubbery stuff almost like foam. Thanks Scott
Augustus Maximus
I love this on abakja1s car! Definitely looks better on a black car. This is a great option for people with lowered cars! I believe www.paintscratch.com sells cutom mixed spray paint with flex in it. Not cheap but supposedly matches great!

c-lo
So those who have done this, how did you hide the fact that you used 3m double sided tape? mine looks like crap cause the tape is showing between the lip and the bumper. 258k miles - Stock engine/minor suspension upgrades/original shocks/rear struts replaced at 222k/4 passenger side wheel bearings/3 clutches/1 radiator/3 turbos

FocuS
Sorry... I tend to ignore dates in threads as many are very old and still going. I only posted since I'm thinking of doing the DIY lip this weekend as my wife keeps banging the front bumper on things. I'm also going to use some good spray paint with flex-add in it to make the rubber look less flat and more stock.

c-lo
yeah, post some pics.! And you bring up a good point. when ever my wife drives my car, she would always hit the lip on the curb. makes me second guess fixing and putting mine back on. she doesn't drive the car much, but it only takes one good hit. 258k miles - Stock engine/minor suspension upgrades/original shocks/rear struts replaced at 222k/4 passenger side wheel bearings/3 clutches/1 radiator/3 turbos
