TSiWRX
Winterizing is probably the best use of the DIY "rubber lip." Just be sure you get the lip on there before temps dip below the 50s, which makes it hard for the adhesive of the 3M Automotive Trim/Molding Tape more difficult to properly cure. IIRC, mine went through two rather harsh NE-Ohio winters, without any problems. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family

maniaxzero
I took EZLIP.com on the offer of a free EZ-LIP in exchange for some install pics. He did come through and sent it through USPS Priority Mail. I got it rather quickly in 3 days. The material itself is soft rubber. Although i havent seen it myself, I would imagine it's very similar to the materials used in the homedepot garage door mod. The double sided tape that was included with the lip seems to be the 1" wide 3m industrial molding tape so he didn't go cheap there. Overall, I am happy with what I got. This will be temporary look for me until I save up for the ravspec one. It does look better in person than the pictures suggests. I did install it closer to the inside of the bumper for a more subtle look. and YES I know I need to respray my grille. Chorizo
Mine only lasted a few weeks. It ripped on a steep driveway. I wasnt happy with the way it looked anyways so i went with the modified wrx lip which looks way better and was only about $

rfred02
Hi guys. So I was browsing the EZ Lip site looking at pics last week, and I signed up for their free drawing and won! So I have my free lip coming probably next week and am trying to search for installation tips. I see some other car forums have cut "notches" in the lip to ease some of the bend around the corners. Have any of you done this/is it needed? Also, for those of you that have installed it, have you been drilling self-tapping screws in the bumper to secure? I know it's a cheap and easy install, but when I do it, I want to make sure it's as clean as possible. I also heard of people "stretching" the rubber to maybe make it less susceptible to flapping, etc. Thanks in advance!

WorldIsFlat
I know this has been dead for a while, but plan on doing this lip on my black Leggy GT limited, as for $8 doesn't look bad at all! As far as painting it goes, any opinions on plasti-dip? Props to those who have posted pics!
sensationalist
Looking on doing this as well. I'm also curious if 3M tape is enough to hold it in.

The local Lowes doesn't have the frost king and I didn't find it at Home Depot when I looked.
