  1. FOUND the OEM TMIC I needed! Thanks for all the advice everyone!
  2. NOOOOOOOOO! Wish I could get them out here...and honestly this started me researching how we might make that happen! PM your phone number so we might discuss... Those are some of the best rims I ever ran...just too bad the tire $$$ and tight fitment!
  3. Visor found Possible TMIC but nothing firm yet... LMK
  4. Aloha Everyone - Been a while since I've posted but life moves pretty fast sometimes! Finally need to replace my well-loved TMIC. Looking for a non-abused OEM unit...I've got the Bulletproof parts to strengthen it up already! Hoping someone has been cleaning up the shed during COVID...? I'll obviously pay the stupid shipping $$$ to Hawai'i!
  5. Stock turbo, motor and fueling. Stage 2 for 70K and currently approaching 130K...quickly racking up more miles with 80/day commuting. Beginning to suspect a HG replacement is in my future and a C/O rebuild...but otherwise no oil burned between OCI. If they bring back the Legacy Wagon, I'll buy another but not sold on the Outback even though the 3.6R is pretty nice.
  6. Subscribed for later mod! Taka - got a PN for that WRX MBC? Anyone else follow Taka's lead and do the WRX MBC? More data is always good...
  7. I wonder what TYC would say if I wrote them a nicely worded letter about their lights leaking...? Probably no reply but it can't hurt!
  8. I second this call! I had my OEMs replaced with TYCs and now have the passenger side VERY fogged up! Normally I would just leave it but it is almost enough liquid to start pooling in the bottom of the housing. Think I know my project for tomorrow...Since these housings are weak, might it be a better idea to bake these so all parts are soft?
  9. You're probably ok with just rebooting it. Since it's on the outside it should be much easier than having to remove the whole axle. GL
  10. I'll bump this thread back up... Looking for details on the OEM Montblanc crossbars. These work great for me since I can use them on my explorer as well! I would like to lock the cams of the bars using the Tamper resistant nuts on each lock ut can't find the size of the Female Torx socket I need. I can lock them via needle nose pliars but don't want to damage anything.... Anyone have the specific size I need to order? THX
  11. Our daughter is only 4 and we're already having the talks about how to allow her to grow without asking too much of her. She is already coming down on herself for not doing things "right"... My wife and I are trying to think of a way to keep her trying to do he best without guilting herself if it isn't perfect in her eyes! My wife went years with guilt about not living up to her mothers standards and neither of us wants that to happen with her! Organized sports or practiced activities are so good in many ways but the drive to be "better" than others is hard to mold. I just want her to enjoy what she is doing...regardless of being better than the person next to her! Perhaps I should encourage other activities once we are living in CA. Carting, surfing, cycling, music... I enjoy competition but hate how it can make people so single minded and somewhat mean.
  12. My 4 year old daughter has started giving her "Subie" a hung and kiss each day I pick here up and saying she "loves" him because he keeps us safe and is a race car! Proud Parenting Moment #567!
  13. .....All this talk of leaking seals and trouble with axles has me worried! I just noticed the split boot on my front passenger CV. The install looks pretty painless but the lack of solid info regarding quality replacement part is troubling! I'm ok with paying more for the part if it last ~100K like the current units. I just get tired of always repairing the repair I just did... Rock Auto seems to have a few options, none of which are reman axles...or perhaps they just don't tell you? I like the idea of the lifetime warranty though from Autozone or NAPA. A few have had good luck with the NAPA part... Any help would be appreciated!
  14. Has anyone make a How-to video of this install yet? I have to do some digging under the hood and am thinking of doing one if not....
  15. Link above doesn't work...but I am at work so you never know... I'll try to make it but Wednesdays are tough since that's usually a day I hit the gym! Been a while since I've been to a meet so it might be fun...
  16. Thanks Much for the update! I have the parts made but have not had the time to install... I'll be doing the install and having a new eTUne done soon! Hopefully my 5EAT will hold together...;-)
  17. Subscribed for later reference! Good write-up!
  18. Man....wish my friends would hurry up and get married so I could have an excuse for more strip club outings....
  19. After a bit more research, the home dry ice production kits I used to see on sale only make dry ice snow...which would probably disappear a little too fast to be of use for racing. It's basically the same process on a larger manufacturing scale but they use a press to form the bricks you can then buy in the store... Here is a decent description: http://www.continentalcarbonic.com/dryice/ Here is a rough cost for the bag: http://www.metlabsupply.com/supplies/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=9
  20. CO2 is pretty cheap in liquid form...the dry ice bag is only $50!
  21. Still saving/convincing the wife for the Hex Mod.... Hope you're still doing it by the time a "yes" rolls around....
  22. Wow....cue drama...? <-------Exit, stage left!
  23. ^^^I'm aware of the "holiday weekend" landing of this event...I'm thinking that is partially why it was planned for said holiday... Some will be gone but many will still attend...Rude A$$!!!
