^^ You think the "lip" could be painted without the paint cracking? I guess it would have to be painted after it is installed tho..

do you have any pics from behind the front wheel..I am curious how the ends look from behind.

Thanks again..

You would have to paint it with custom mixed paint that has "flex additive" that would allow it to flex a little without cracking off

Or something that is designed for vinyl..

But if you use plain off the shelf spraypaint it will crack for sure

ok, I'm not sure if someone said this alraedy....and I also am not sure I remember what the bottom of the bumper looks like....but it seems like it goes up in the middle part. I think the lip would look better if it didn't follow the bumper going up and jsut stayed straight. I don't know...that's what I think when I look at the pic. I'm hoping someone makes it look a little better, so then I can go out do it myself...

I scraped my chin pulling out of someone's driveway a couple of weeks ago and was looking at spliters. But $350 - $650 to rip off on curbs or parking lot stops was too much. This is looking just about right and would cover the scars already in place. Nice work.

Also had a new driveway put in ths summer (from stone to blacktop) and garage doors need new seals now. So now I just get three instead of two. Great idea thanks for the post.

ok,..raise your hands if you have did this mod and post more pictures of your install..Im sure in Hawaii, the same door moulding will cost $18 due to shipping/markup,..

Anyways,..before I step up and get ghetto on my car,..I would like to see more pics especially from underneath and how you cut it to length just for my curiousity,...

$18 is a great savings compared to $250+ if its going to get munched by speedbumps/parking curbs/driveways,..

thanks!!!

ANYWAYS, I will get picks up if not around lunch time tomorrow, Tuesday morning. I will put the car up on ramps to get a better look underneath. Also I will take one further away.

BTW I puchased a STi decal off ebay, now it is officially poser...:icon_bigg . Just waiting for it to come in.

Well as expected,..the same material was like $18 at Lowe's and a little cheaper at $15 at Home depot,..

At first, I wasnt sure how to mount it, then when I got to looking at the pictures,..I figured how far out the material was supposed to stick out,..I ended up using 3M adhesive and some screws to hold it it place,..

Overall Im satisfied even if it wont function as a front splitter,..it will protect the underside of my front bumper from high parking space bumps and low drive ways,...

Waddya think??
