I dunno, a medium quality piece of meat drenched in butter :(

yeah but gross means really bad. It's not inedible but it's not much better than outback steakhouse or something

Hmmm... That's not gonna fly. There's no damned parking in this ass-backward's city. Make it a place on L.I., Northern N.J., Staten Island, etc. where there's a parking lot. Houston's maybe? I don't know.

I'm tired of animals dying to feed me so lately i'm on a 'as less as possible' tussle with meat.

That said :

- I respect Fogo de Chao

- Milwaukee has some of the best steak i've had. Anything from Bartolotta's is great. Mr. B's being my fave. , Barotllotta's, Bacchusa are great too

-MIlwaukee's other repectable group is http://www.weissgerbers.com/

Golden Mast and Seven Seas serve amazing steaks and german food.

-My absolute best for the money is the NY Strip at http://www.briscocounty.net/location.html

-Now in minneapolis, i think Philadelphia Blue is OK for the money. I hvnt been to Manny's yet so i cant say.

The ultimate AU poivre I had was at some little (expensive) joint in Milwaukee. Now the name is the same as the italian gangsta, but i dont know if his family runs it or what. Balistrieri is the name.

Best Steak ever?

I was just in Vegas for the CES show and had a bone-in filet at Joe's Stone Crab restaurant, about 16 oz. Prepared medium rare.

They are famous for their stone and Alska King crab, but the bone-in cut of meat I had as an entree was absolutely the best steak I've ever had.

Located in the Forum Shops area of Las Vegas Caeser's Palace.

(I thought I'd died and gone to heaven after we made it thru about 10 lbs of crab claws as an appetizer... imagine my delight once the steak came!)

El Gaucho - Portland, OR - great chateaubriand for two (work paid for)

El Gaucho - Portland, OR

Med. Rare

Man, I really need to try El Gaucho one of these days. I'm a big fan of Ringside, myself. That would probably be the best restaurant steak I've had.
