yeah you don't have a legacy troll boy. your civic si is a pussycat el gato.
2) feet hit under dash when moving from gas to brake pedal (dangerous???) And no i don't have big feet, size 11 shoe - is anyone elses car like this? 3) uncomfortable seats/seat position too high 4) soft rolly-polly stock suspension 7) POOR INTERIOR DESIGN. Controls suck, no places to put things, cupholders are in the way, stereo isn't upgradeable, climate control isn't intuitive (and not visible depending what gear you're in!!), steering wheel is too big, cheap plastics, even the standard floormats are bogus. There is just nothing right about the interior of this car. Not to mention that its a huge sedan and there is NO legroom in the back seat... vs my civic which was a tiny 2 door hatch and had plenty of room for rear passengers!!!. Pedzola, read the 4 items listed that I quoted from your post. You could have noticed all of the above with a test drive...... Admit it you did not road test the car. You were so focused on that "Car of the Year" in Japan. Anyway, good luck. Check out the new 2006 Civic Si.:icon_neut
1=you've got a bad trunk 2=you need to stop the front kicks while driving 3=lower the seat 4=go buy an sti 5=wtf? wipers? c'mon 6=i had a civic and thay thing a ton of rattles...legacy is pretty much rattle free. 7=controls are fine, no places to put things (go buy an suv), steering wheel is a great size momo, give me a break, plastics can be better but the interior is the best in any previous legacy, no leg room in the back? there's enough room for avg. size people. i had a civic and integra and those were great reliable little cars but by all means nothing compared a legacy. hey dude...go somewhere else...i call major BS--->civic "million times better" than a legacy? what car did you buy?
Currently have about 3500 miles on the car and more "remorse" than ever. I hate to be the voice of evil here, but every day I wish more that I had gotten something else. Here is my "short" list of grievances, in no particular order: 1) need to slam trunk to get it to close 2) feet hit under dash when moving from gas to brake pedal (dangerous???) And no i don't have big feet, size 11 shoe - is anyone elses car like this? 3) uncomfortable seats/seat position too high 4) soft rolly-polly stock suspension 5) no rear-wiper 6) squeaking, creaking, rattling sounds all over - AFTER 3000 MILES???? :icon_evil 7) POOR INTERIOR DESIGN. So yeah... the good things.... fast, awd. And I've come to learn that that is pretty much it. Even the PAINT sucks on this car... i already had chips and dings and scratches after 2 weeks of driving the car. Unfortunately with more than a $5k depreciation loss directly after buying the car it looks like ill have to live w/my poor decision for a couple of years at least. You all talk about "what car would you get thats better?" Well, my answer to that is ANY HONDA. My civic was a million times better than this car, had more features, was way cheaper, and after 2 years and a MAJOR overhaul after an accident it had less problems with noises and such than my 6 week old subaru. I am kicking myself for not getting another civic si or keeping the one i had. I convinced myself I needed AWD and this is what happened.... I'm sure there are a lot of civic and rsx owners out there that are jealous of the wrx's, sti's, and legacys... but, like me, they don't know what they've got. =P Alright go ahead and flame me. Just needed to be honest in case there is anyone else lurking w/the same opinion as me, but is afraid to come out of the darkness... :icon_tong
LOL your comments on the interior are so full of it. The civic has one of the most cheap black pastic intensive interiors of any car I've ever driven. My friend with his civic ADORES my car and wishes he could afford a Legacy. He insists on taking my car when we go places and begs to drive it. The problem with most people and the climate control is that they don't know how to use it. I only change four settings on mine ever: 72 degrees, 76 degrees, Defrost, and Auto. Standard floormats? what's that in a Honda? I would claw my eyes out if i was stuck in a cheap-o, torque steering, anemic, overhyped, under powered, Honda Civic. Sorry for this post guys...i need to remind myself :trolls:

wow i'm flabbergasted by all your positive and negative responses; I had no idea there'd be people who would even think about complaining about the Legacy's "lack of ergonomics". Holy smokes...being just 17 w/ a base leg 2.5i, I am so thankful for such a nice family car to share with the folks. It's freakin awesome; saying this after coming from a 97 ford escort that looks like a space pod and a 94 mazda MPV that had radio controls that you can't reach without bending forward enough to kiss your steering wheel. I don't regret a bit of the convincing process while i was still 16 to have my parents buy a subaru as their next veh. The legacy is one respectable unit, regardless of where it's built. The fallacy about bad american work ethic is simply a fallacy. Pedzola, I'm sure I, along with the rest of the LGT members all respect your views, but if you're just trying to "rattle our cages" as someone said, then rofl :munch: good show. ----- Aside from the rebuttals and crap, I do want to express some concern about the thin sheet metal all around. I've gotten quite a few unexplainable dings after only 4 months in. now got 4000 miles on it. Does anyone know if there's any chance that the dealer will repair these dents under warrantee? after all..."bumper to bumper" -----
Oh yeah and one thing that is driving me NUTS about this car is the steering.... I have to roll the wheel like a freakin big rig to get it to turn, WTF SUBARU???
-- it's called pumping some weights/working out, you should try it sometime sorry, that was just too dumb a post w/ gratefulness, -Jonathan
The unlimited manual cloth driver seat has only a rear height adjustment, the passenger none. The Limited power leather driver and passenger seats have a rear and front height adjustment. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't sit in the passenger seat much, but it's does go up and down I think (in addition to power front/back and seatback etc). The drivers seat has up down, independent front and rear height and so on. Its a comfy place to sit I think.
I have the XT Limited and the passenger seat doesn't have a height adjustment... just power seatback and seat track position... Want a really nicely adjustable power seat? Go sit in a new Dodge Ram pickup. I drove a diesel for a day and it felt like I was in it maybe 5 minutes.. oh so comfortable!
Yeah well like I said I have no idea. I don't sit in it too often :D Front back, and seat back only then? I don't know.

1: Really would enjoy a telescoping steering wheel! 2: Stubby bumper would be uber hawt on the USDM LGT!

Let's see. A year has passed since I bought my car, and I don't have any remorse about my purchase. The few "things" that I wished were different or better have been/will be addressed (tires, brakes, stereo), but none of those things made the car unbearable for me.

I love my LGT!! I've owned 5 cars in the last 15 years, and until now I spent every moment with those cars second-guessing my decision, thinking about what I wanted next and biding my time until I could reasonably trade them in. No so with my LGT. I must admit that I did love my '99 323i, but it was underpowered and an automatic (don't ask!). The only car I can see that would even come close to my LGT is the new 330i. Honestly, I don't miss a bit of ergonomics, fit-n-finish, or comfort (and my LGT is non-LTD) from the BMW. The only difference is some suspension and tire change that I'd like to make to my LGT. But with the $15K I saved, I can make this thing run circles around the BMW. In a few weeks I'll have my iON springs, BFG KDW-2 tires and Access Port and I'll be mostly done with my "wish list". My LGT is a lease, but for the first time I'm thinking that I want to keep 'er. At least until a better LGT comes out :icon_tong
