  1. I've had the Q50 since November now and it's one of the best cars I've owned. I did a 0-60 test using the performance box device. 1/4 mile was 13.0 @100MPH. As far as gas, I was able to get 29mpg on the highway which is actually more than the 3.6r. The 2022 Boss system is better than my cousins 2017 Camry JBL system. Much better defined. The interior is quieter than his Camry that even helps more. TLX S model was in the 50K range. The Q50 get more per buck especially the engine for the mid 40k range. Really happy with my purchase.
  2. I was in an accident last month. Sorry. Hope the repair is quick. Mine took a month because of the lack of subaru parts. I ended up buying a new car.
  3. I leased my 2018 3.6r and paid of the balance to own the car. When I got my title from the bank, the title was still in subaru chase name and they sent me an application to transfer along with the title. I live in Texas and paid for the title transfer plus had to pay over 1k in sales tax for purchasing the lease. When I paid off my 11 WRX several years ago, subaru sent me the title with my name. I don't remember having to transfer the title at the dmv. Is there something different I did wrong? Thanks.
  4. As mentioned on another post, my 2018 3.6r was on the side on the freeway. Both passenger doors were damaged and replaced. The repair was about 5k and parts with repair took over a month. My collision shop was able to repair all the damages. Enterprise rental loaned me a new 2021 Q50 for that time. And I liked how fast the V6 twin turbo moved with all the tech. It reminded me when I bought my first Legacy GT back in 2005. I sold my 3.6r @ Carmax and they gave me about 27k in cash. The 3.6r is a nice car. If the XT looked better and offered a sport edition with turbo, I would have bought that. But Subaru feels like they need to build a plain sedan with AWD and great interiors (touring). When I test the XT, the looks and handling is what prevented me to buying it. We have bought 8 subarus in the past 16 years. We still have an Ascent and my 11 Wrx LTD. I bought a new 2022 Q50 but I test drove/researched other brands in the process. The Kia K5 Gt is a serious competitor to the Legacy and other family sedans. Their turbo model is fast and is cheaper than an XT. You can get a car that goes about 0-60 in close to 5 seconds. It also looks sharp. I couldn't bring myself to buy a Kia. The handling was decent but ok. The FWD is a turnoff. The Genesis G70 is a great car starting at 37k. It's about the same price if not cheaper in its lower models (compared to a loaded Touring) with a great interior and much better transmission (that the legacy) and offers quick handling. The looks are great on this car imo. And I almost bought it. The Kia Stinger entry model starts about the same price as the XT. The engine was pretty impressive and its a fast car. There's more room than I thought. I didn't purchase this car because of the lower quality interior than the Q50 but its still nice. For kicks, I checked I even checked out the Volvo S60. It's a great car with nice interior and handled great. The engine and trannny were very high quality. The price was more expensive for their lowest model but it was around 40k. I didn't go with Volvo because of the FWD. I got the best deal with Q50. It's v6 turbo is fast, the interior is great, and I actually like all the tech like electronic steering wheel tilt, the contour seats, heated mirrors and steering wheel, and the dual digital screens. I have had 2 legacies and they both served me well. Legacy owners deserve an sti or spec b legacy like the Outback gets a wilderness IMO for people that want more.
  5. I have driven the Stinger. Our next door neighbor has one. But the entry level version he has, which is the budget (A little past 40k) is not as luxurious inside. The seats on the Q50 are better and more contoured. I also like the stereo in the q50 models. It's better than the Kia. And I'm not a fan of the Kia brand. Kia can't figure what their family of cars look like. I'm not spending 40k+ on a Kia. It's just a preference. Q50 looks great too me. The front of the Q50 is one of the best looking cars in its class. It's like people telling me my subarus don't look great. When I bought the Legacy GT in 05, media was saying it looked like a Camry. I don't care. My only problem that I don't like with the Q50 is the premium gas and lack of space for storage. As far as speed and power, the stock Q50 can do 0-60 in less than 5 seconds, 1/4 low 13's, and trap @ 103mph. That might be slower than a Stinger but that's still quick for me. Those are better specs than a stock 21 STI and slighty lower specs than my Stage 2 WRX. I'm still thinking about making the Q50 purchase because I still have my 3.6r Legacy.
  6. Biggest reason why I'm selling the 3.6r is the handling and engine. The 3.6r is a great car for comfort but it feels like I'm floating on the freeways. It doesn't handle well either. It's great for the family but we already have the ascent. I miss the G's on the turbo. I've had the q50 for almost a month (rental while legacy getting repaired after getting hit) and the dual screen tech works great with android auto. I'm able to get the top screen to do Waze navigation and the bottom screen to display Spotify/Pandora tracks. It really looks great. The 2022 q50 models also have 16 a speaker bose systems. It sounds great...even better than my legacy which I thought we pretty good. The seats contour the body better on the q50. I've had only subarus since 2005 (8 of them total) and looking for a change. I like the the looks of the q50 better than the a4, C class, lexus, etc. I'll probably lease. I was thinking of the Legacy XT but I'm not a fan of the looks. And I'd rather have the dual screen q50 with buttons than the XT legacy mosnter tablet screen. We'll see.
  7. My 2011 WRX ltd. is going on over 10 years. I had the original legacy GT from 2005 from 2011. Both cars never had any turbo replacements. I don't drive my cars hard. So while turbos may go out, taking care of your care can make the turbo live a long life. Our Ascent gets about 30mpg+ during our road trips. We avg about 22mpg in the city. There's a whole group of people online (ascentforum.com) that love their cars like my family does. Ascent has great acceleration for an SUV plus the steering is really good for an SUV. There's a lot of room and we can have 7 people with the 3rd row (I drive my parents for sporting events). There's also a ton of cup holders. I feel the car is well made. My only complaint is the motor can get loud in lower gears with higher RPMS. My 3.6r is non turbo but I'm planning to sell it soon.
  8. I had a friend with a q50 from 2014 and he had it for 3 years until he finished the lease and went with an audio a4. He said he had no problems with the q50. He actually liked it a lot but wanted something new. What I like about the q50 is the size, engine, and feel. The latest q50 reminds me of my original legacy gt. The GT used to be an entry level luxury car IMHO with the spec b. Inifinty has 4 year warranties. My close friend still has his g37 after 10 years. No issues as well. I plan to sell my 3.6r this week. It's served me well. I still have my Ascent and WRX.

  10. Has anyone gone from a 2018/2019 3.6r Legacy to the 2020/21 Legacy XT? If so, what are the pro and cons since going with the newest model? My family has the 2019 Ascent so I'm familiar with the 2.4T. I'll admit, I'm not thrilled with the exterior look compared to the 18/19 models but I do like the turbo engine and touring leather. Thanks!
  11. On my way to work, a car didn't see me and merged into my Legacy 3.6r. It caused about 4k of damaged because it damaged both my passenger front and rear doors. The wait time will be over a month until everything is fixed because the collision place is ordering two doors from Subaru parts. I was given an 2021 Infinty Q50 turbo. This car is really nice. It reminded how big and bulky the Legacy is. I like the transmission and sharp steering in this car. I also like the turbo without driving stick like in my wrx. My family has owned 8 subarus in the past 20 years and never owned an Infinity. Anyone own an Infinity before? I'm having second thoughts and considering selling my 3.6r. Anyone ever got in an accident and want to sell the car?
  12. I was thinking about trading my 2018 3.6r for the 2021 XT but I can't stand the looks of the front end. The 2018-2019 models are my favorite current-looking (within the past 10 years) legacy models. Gonna enjoy my current ride then.
  13. Every Subaru model gets criticism for its looks. In 2005, the Legacy was said to look like a Camry. I think this new GT model will sell especially if the tuned CVT pulls some good #'s. I think the XT legacy looks terrible.
  14. Nice upgrades. I'm wondering what the difference at the track would be like 1/4 mile and trap speed or lap times on a track.
  15. I would have the subaru dealer look at the vehicle just in case there's anything that shows up. It's best to wait a little bit for the car to get warm.
  16. What, is there something wrong with going on the 2020? lol I did test drive a 2020. It was pretty good. But I'll stick with my 2018 3.6r. Looks, tactile stereo, engine history are better to me. There's a lot of tech on my car too and love everything about it.
  17. I have the 2018 3.6r. It's about to hit the 3 year mark. Bought it brand new. I was one of the first owners in 04 in my city to own the 05 GT. Loved the car. It's my favorite legacy. However, this newer Legacy has not had a single problem...not even glitches. The technology of this 3.6r legacy is what makes this car light years ahead of my old GT. There were all kinds of paint chips (your cubby door) around the trim and leather worn easily in my old GT legacy at 3 years old not to mention the exterior paint. 3 years into the 3.6r and my car still looks new. The performance is where my GT shined especially @ stage 2 plus other small mods and a pro tune. But even at a stage 2 GT, the 3.6r is a better cruiser on the highway and more comfortable. So my current legacy to me has not been an "obnoxious plastic computers (full of technology that no one asked for) that are prone to such "glitches". " It's been an evolution to a better made car without the GT turbo. Now when I do get that turbo urge, I'm fortunate to own a 11 WRX ltd. I use that car on the weekends while my currently legacy is my daily. To each their own. Sounds like your legacy has been holding up well.
  18. So I tested the latest Legacy XT. I have a 2018 3.6r. I liked the new engine. I like the feel of how the turbo kicks in. Good to see the turbo model back. I think the car is a little quieter but the 3.6r was already pretty quiet. On the highway, the XT was really good. The turns are more defined on the XT although these recent legacies aren't known for their handling. It's a big car. I feel the suspension improvement. While the overall XT interior is better than the 3.6r, I prefer the tactile control buttons on the media player. I also like the menus on the older 3.6r. The exterior is better on the 3.6r. I don't like the new front grille. The front lights on the 3.6r is also better. The rear is also not as appealing on the XT. I'm not digging the rear lights on the XT models too. The wheels on the 3.6r look better. I think everything was a pretty good upgrade except that exterior but not good enough for me to trade for the latest and greatest. Your thoughts on the latest legacy?
  19. I tried to search but didn't find anything. How do the stock nav maps update? Is it something that you have to do or does automatically?
  20. I have another cracked windshield on my 2018 3.6R . Safelite says their windshields will work with my eyesite and I don't need the Subaru OE windshield. Thoughts? If subaru needs their windshield, anyone have a link to share?
  21. Just had another crack in my windshield. This is the 2nd time in 2 years. I've owned several subarus and this hasn't happened before. I think the windshields are faulty.
