CTATV
I guess could be I dont think anybody has datalogged before/after... most people on here say even a catback will give minimal gains until you do some other mods that in turn require higher flow... Same thing with the intakes out there
hogmeat
yah, I'm sure it didn't HURT anything, but I seriously doubt there are many gains. ...other than the noise, of course I'm pleasantly surprised... It was most certainly worth the couple bucks and 10 mins of my time. CLICK HERE FOR THE HOGZAUST
DocHolladay23
No gains or losses for me yet. Love the sound though... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] You want stickers? Hit me up here!!! You want a shirt? Hit me up here!!!
MarkV
the only loss would probably be an iota of horsepower, cuz technically you are releaving pressure that goes through the muffler, I've Crashed My ROFLChopper into a LOLCanOhttp://legacygt.com/forums/image.php?type=sigpic&userid=16939&dateline=1230531251
SubieDriver
Actually, you GAIN an iota of power. Reducing backpressure frees the breathing a tad. It's the same idea as most aftermarket exhausts - free up the breathing and you free up a bit of horsepower, just on a smaller scale.

g2redgsr
hogzaust adds 30 HP as long as you have a blow off valve:cool:
MarkV
hogzaust adds 30 HP as long as you have a blow off valve:cool: i donyt think that hogzaust adds that much at all, the fact that one has a blow off valve is enough because of the cancellation of the turbo lag.... no disrespect but that doesn't make any sense....? a 1/4 gap adds 30 hp/.....???? SubieBlkOut
Just did the Hogzaust this weekend. Took a little longer than I thought because those bolts were so rusted together! Sounds soooo much better though. A nice rumble without that crapy ricer sound. I love it! Thanks for being creative!
hogmeat
another convert, another brick in the wall. the massive great wall of washers, that is, The Hogzaust. I'm pleasantly surprised... SubieBlkOut
One question though....I was thinking about possible problems that could come with this. 1. Do you think there could be any problems with the products of combustion getting into the car because it is no longer coming out at the very rear of the car? 2. I know that H20 is a product of combustion but do you see any problems with anything from the ground under the car (water, dirt, debrie) being able to get into the open slot or is the escaping gas enough to keep that junk out? Thanks again for the great sound!
lilbrudder
I did this last weekend, I haven't got a chance drive it but I like what I hear in the garage. Is there any way to keep it from making the pst-pst-pst-pst at idle? I pulled the old mystery game with my pops, telling him i could do it to his for around $100. He tought it sounded good and would make a great scam. Thanks Hog, i love the boxer burbble, when are you taking aplications for authorized dealer/installers? consider this my Ap for the Alaska region!
