Hi All, I wanted to share my wheel setup with you all for my Gen5 OB. Since the platform is essentially identical, here is another option for you Legacy owners.

These wheels are OEM from a Mitsubishi EVO X.

BBS Forged 18X8.5 et 38

255/55/18 CONTI DWS 06 Tires.

Having done a bit of homework, they are a direct fit with a few parts and at a fraction of the cost of any new genuine BBS wheels. I bought them on the EVO forums and had them powder coated. All in, less that $1100 which IMO is a steal.I gather you all would use a different tire size, but the wheel is pretty sweet in person and light as hell. I would say 18ish lbs ea... I have since done an STI Front Brake Swap and they clear with loads of spare space too...

If you wanted to use a set, you would need the following:

Lug Nuts (ONLY THESE WILL WORK TO MOUNT THE WHEELS)

Black Toyota Lexus OEM Style Mag Lug Nuts 12x1.25

Centerbore adapters:

If anyone is interested in these wheels and tires I have them up for sale.

This is not the place to advertise for-sale items. Please review the Marketplace rules, create a listing there in the Wheel & Tire subforum, and you can then post a (single) link to it in this thread.

Would 215/65/17 or 225/60/17 tires on the stock 17x7.5 +55 wheels cause rubbing issues?

The tire size calculator shows them to be 1.14" and 0.76" taller overall?

stock suspension all around.

No, the wheels make it look lowered, if I lowered it I would not get in my drive. All the suspension is OEM. Just a tune from throttlehappy (Matt), waiting on Raptor headers and intake. Edited by nath2445

I have H&R springs in right now. All 4, i can fit 2 fingers snugly between the gap and looks even all around. I have new coilovers but have yet to install them. COMING SOON. I am happy with the tires and wheels combo. Feels better than my previous Michelin a/s 3+ tires. For the 57CR'S, think I should have went with 19's. lol

I have a legacy with the front brembo brakes from an sti. Is there a stock subaru rim in 17 inches that would fit, or does it have to be an 18 inch wheel or larger? I'm trying to look for a winter wheel that would fit as well as get a larger sidewall. Thanks for your help everyone.

The only 17 inch stock rims that fit over the STI brembo brakes would be the wheels off an STI.

Question - after reviewing the entire thread - will 225/55/18 tires fire in the stock limited rim without rubbing? Wanted to add a little more sidewall but haven’t seen any responses to this size.

Thanks

The tire will fit the rim, no rubbing. It will, however cause your speedo to read too low of a speed. (more sidewall = larger diameter = less revolutions per mile) It'll be out somewhere in the 3 to 4% range.

I am looking at putting a set of these on our Black 2016 3.6R Limited. I am considering going 18x8, running the stock tires, with the 35mm offset. I want to fill the wheel wells but I don't want rubbing. Will these work without rolling the fender lips or should I go with the 45mm offset?

I can finally add to this thread!!!!

sti forged bbs wheels (18x8.5) I picked up used. They had some rash and needed refinishing, so I had them powder coated by a local shop in platinum silver. I wanted a darker silver, but I'll have to live with these for now... at least until the tires wear out and I can justify getting another color ;)

tires are michelin pilot sport as3+ in 255/45/18 (speedo is only -0.66% off from stock)

eibach lowering springs are on order, waiting for them to arrive...
