I thought all legacy sedan VINs started at 210001 This one is 012381. 2012 Legacy model year started at 2001. The VIN start numbers are in the service manual. A_A_ron Posted November 1, 2017 Share Posted November 1, 2017 I have heard of owners changing oil filter more often than the oil when extending the oil change interval. 8000 miles synthetic oil changes isn't much more than the 7500 mile synthetic oil changes the factory recommended for 2011 & 2012 GT. I had to drive to Virginia when I bought this one when it had 38K miles on it. These are rare and I have only seen 4 in the whole country for sale all year on cars.com, autotrader, etc. I have owned two WRX's and two BRZs, this one is the best. It has the Harmon Kardon system which sounds great. I have tried to keep this car as perfect as I can besides bug marks etc. My next 16 yr old isn't getting this one, too fast. It has the BOXER TURBO with six speed. Tires have @80% left and this car will eat the snow and is considered one of the safest vehicles on the road.
