  1. I have low mileage OEM one that is basically rust free. It came from FL Legacy and I think it has 75k mile on it.

  3. The service history does not always show oil changes (or someone did their own oil changes). They probably didn't go 50k miles between oil change (48k to 98k) My car never see dealership except for warranty repair. Sometimes you have to judge it by condition. I looked at 2018-2019 3.6R Outback and Legacy before giving up. The low mileage one were in the mid 20's which was more than I wanted to spend for a used car. I am planning on replacing my 2009 Outback with a 100k ish OB 3.6R or Forester XT. This 3.6R looks pretty clean but I don 't know if I would want a 166k mile one. Even though the price is cheap I can see this being a difficult to sell vehicle in 3-4 years when it's over 200k, so I would probably pass.
  4. Yes I did order the TR. The port date is a scheduled for April 14th and it should arrive at the dealership a couple weeks after that. I am pretty excited about it. it was an exhausting day swapping the exhaust and removing the tow hitch. I moved the stock tires out of storage but didn’t get around to putting the stock rims on yet. I had to push around one of my other cars with a completely dead battery. I am beat.
  5. I sold my 2012 Legacy GT. the new owner wants the stock exhaust and wheels, so I will be doing the swap tomorrow. I am going to be sad to see it go, the car is still in excellent condition even at 131k miles. The only problem I have had with it is the stock charge pipe bursting at the track, otherwise it has been dead reliable for me. I still have my 2010 Legacy GT winter beater for now, but I plan on selling that one eventually too.
  6. I have the Q300. The quiet down after a little bit after a couple thousand miles. In the car they are pretty quiet and around town at idle with a little bit of rumble. I they sound great on throttle, with a little burble between shifts. My only complaint would be is they are slightly louder than I would like on the highway. It am just being particular as I didn't;t want a loud exhaust. My car has the stock j-pipe and cat though. I have a friend who interested in buying my 2012 GT but he wants my stock exhaust. If he buys my car I will have my use Invidia Q300 exhaust, it has about 25k miles on it and never drive in the winter.
  7. Oh I wish I had known. I have a spare cat off a 75k mile GT. I bought it just incase I ever needs one.
  8. I know how rare the Celica All-Trac are. They have similar total production numbers as the 5th Gen GT has. You can also look a GT with Burnt Valve. I have bought two and I have seen other GT for sale with them as well.
  9. A 3.6R is not less than 1hp lower than a typical STI. A 3.6R manual was never made by Subaru only the 3.0 motor 6MT in the prior gen in non us markets. The JDM motor has different compression ratio than the USDM motor. If you want it to actually run right, you need to swap the pistons or spend money for a custom tune or aftermarket ECM. The JDM motor may not be complete either. Your best bet is finding a donor but as I am sure you’re experiencing is they are rare and hard to find.
  10. I worked on my 2010 GT yesterday. It has been using coolant which I can smell under the hood and my drivers front wheel needs air every 2 weeks or so. I took the wheel and it has not punctures so it must be leaking on the tire bead or at the tire stem. I kind of doubt it is the stem since I bought new stems TMPS for the car. I have friend with a tire shop, so I have him look at it. I checked the coolant system pressurized it with mityvac coolant system kit I have, it has a leak on the passenger top side and it is pooling on the block and leaking down into the under body tray. It must be something I messed up when I assembled it or maybe the prior lessened something I didn't check or wasn't expecting. It will probably be a cheap fix but may not an easy one. I will wait until it warms up and I can pull the accessories off the top of the motor for a better look. Hopefully I don't have to remove the intake manifold.
  11. Yesterday we had a near 60F degree day so I washed and vacuumed my '12 Legacy GT. Today I changed the oil and took it out for a ride. I haven't driven it since late November. I am going to miss this car when I sell it.
  12. I keep my Koni/Eibachs at 1 turn F / 0.5 turn R. As I wrote this, I remember that my ‘12 2.5i rode better with this set up than my ‘12 GT. The 1st owner of my GT used whiteline poly bushings all through out my suspension. I removed the front lower control and put in stock one to help with the ride. I have group N front struts mounts. I went to in mid my rear with oem upper rear control arms but once I pulled the rear subframe assembly down I found that poly rear control arm bushing used non stock bolts (threaded into the bushings) and I found the rear spindle had a solid bushing pressed in where the lower bars bolts to. I never bothered to go back and fix it, so my 2012 GT does probably ride stiffer than your car.
  13. Yeah I am getting older (50). I like having the back up of all those safety features. The reason I ordered the limited was for the blind spot detection. I talked to my sales guy, the person who authorized the orders will be in this afternoon. He said it looks like the TR can be ordered from his screen but he won’t know until that person comes in. If it can be order, I will be getting the TR.
  14. Maybe I should have ordered a TR with the Recaro's, Brembo's, 19: wheels. I am doing my research now, I left a message with my sales person.
  15. I thought that I ordered a 2023. I looked at my pair work and apparently I ordered a 2024. (The pricing matches what is in 2024 WRX press release) The 2024 prices were released in late December, I do not know when Subaru ordering opened up for 24 but they told me 2-3 months for delivery. I would guess that March would be the earliest a 2024 would show up on the lot.
  16. I went to the Subaru dealership yesterday and I ended up ordering a 2023 WRX Limited. I have been looking to update my cars and maybe getting rid of one of them. I have a 2009 2.5i Outback that my daughter seems to have taken over, 2010 Legacy GT as my winter driver and my 2012 Legacy GT which I store in the winter. I also have a 1991 GMC Syclone. I test drove the Legacy Sport and I really liked it. I test drove the WRX and it had the feel of my 2012 Legacy GT with an update interior. (My GT has Eibach spring/Koni Struts, Q300, short throw shifter and tune) It was slower than '12 GT but I know with Cobb AP, the WRX will be just as fast if not faster. The WRX should be here in 2-3 months, so I have to start selling my 2 5th Gen Legacy GT.
  17. Definitely check them, so if them are hard to access. I actually made that mistake on my 2010GT and got similar codes when I installed the motor.
  18. Was the timing belt and tensioner replaced? Most likely it jumped timing from someone not doing the timing belt or leaving guides/off or misadjusted if they did the timing belt. It could also be that someone pulled the motor and did not fully seat the OCV valve connectors.
  19. It can be removed. I put dynamat on my collectible vehicle’s doors and had to do window regulator. I used heat and adhesive remove and it come off relatively easily.
  20. That sucks about your 2012 GT, I have been looking at buying a 2024 Legacy Sport as well. I will keep my 2012 GT for a while longer, it is just too much fun to drive for what it would sell for.
  21. It is usually the downstream o2, you can data-log the o2 sensor with your Cobb AP (I think you have one) If it is cycling like a wave in step with the front o2 that would indicate a bad catalytic converter.
  22. Did you complete and pass a UTI certification program? I have REAL hard time believing that UTI did not discuss the topic of spark timing using knock sensors as feedback.
  23. I have seen instance where a mechanic uses a rag to plug something and complete forgets about it. It is probably worth pulling th bypass hose. If it the that goes under upper the intake manifold, that one isn't the easiest one to remove. I don't have experience with checking the exhaust gases but I have seen in other cars where the head gasket only starts to leak after the engine is warmed up.
  24. I wan't planning on using GT as a winter beater so I could put my '12 GT away. I was planning on buying a new Legacy Sport with the down payment from 20210 GT. I just wasn't able to sell it, either the 2010 GT prices are very low or they are afraid of the miles/new motor. I started off last December / January at $9500 / 9000. I had a couple inquiries at that point We had snow and it was unregister/insuranced, so I decided to wait until the spring. I put iy up for sale in May for $8250, but my son had some medial issues and they didn't get resolved until September. so I put it on hold (but I had no inquiries either). I put it for sale in September/ October / November for 8250 / 7500 / 7000. On Black Friday, I figure since no one was willing to give me a price in the 6's that I might as well use it. I didn't want to rush into buying another car. I am sure if I lower the price further, someone will buy it. It is a good car, it lot more fun to drive than my other winter beater, 2009 2.5i 4EAT Outback.
