WaspGT
SBT, did you post something? Or is the absence of a post, supposed to be the punch line? Either way... ... I have everything I need now, thanks to Exeter Subaru & KJE. We pulled the TGV's and deleted them, then had KJE block the holes, bead blast, and hone. They came out really nice. The long block is assembled and ready to go. Completing the install before this weekend's Nor'Easter; hopefully all goes well.

WaspGT
Okay... up till 1:30am dropping this motor in with my friend, Tim. We checked it over thoroughly before lifting it in, and installed the aluminum Crank pulley. I noticed a threaded hole in the top of the waste gate... glad I did! I looked it up and come to find out, Kinugawa offered this extra opening (I believe) so you could set it up like some people setup their EWGs, which run 3 lines to the wastegate actuator. Come to find out, it's just a different method to control boost. So yeah... plugged it. I also took a couple shots of the front of the TGV ports that connect the Intake manifold to the block. You can clearly see how clean they are, and the set screw/plug that KJE installed. Came out beautifully. Wish I had before and after pics; night and day. I also figured out my power steering pump was leaking up top; so I'm swinging by Tri-City Subaru for a gasket (pretty sure it's an O-Ring?) The only issue we had with dropping in the engine was getting the two motor mounts in... omg, what a pain in the ass that was! I should have set up a camcorder so you all could have a good laugh at the two of us scrambling around kicking, swearing, and spilling beer. Anyhow, I left to call it a night after we connected, most of the tubes, hoses, master cylinder, PS pump, alternator, etc. The DP, TMIC, Boost solenoid, and fluids are for tonight... Then the... initial start up!!! ***Stay tuned for the inevitable explosion, and my lapse of sanity. Sorry the pics are so blurry, my frozen iphone wasn't much help. Considering all of the sh!t I've been through, and the excruciating down time I've had to endure waiting for machine shops, and parts to come in the mail... just to get to this point? ... and what... you think i'm not going to jump in head first as soon as I get a chance??? FJuan
I hate the P/S pump, I have to change the o-ring on the intake tube a least a couple times a year. That POS does not want to seal and leaks like a little beotch from time to time. My wife's balls are delicious.
