N.Y.X.
Thanks! I did order new plastic clips so I might as well.... Got my LGT catback retrofitted. Came out pretty good, pas side is a little off, but for what I paid I'm not complaining. Just need to trim the bumper a bit. http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160812_090004_zpsjguumd4t.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160812_104314_zpsnvus9ddv.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160812_113954_zpspoasxwc4.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160812_120536_zpsru95eg9r.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160812_124526_zpsj0ad5lzf.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160812_124518_zpsgeujaeb3.jpg

N.Y.X.
Hahahaha, right?!?! Well I added the GS adapter and went through to re torque the exhaust nuts to spec and found the uppipe had a leak. That would explain the boost issue. Now to just get that replaced and install the KSTech intake and back over to Cryo for more powah.... http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160813_152116_zps7rh67pbs.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160813_135410_zpsd5otj500.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160813_135413_zpsr2f7nhwr.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160813_135416_zpsxgao60sf.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160813_144751_zpsdaugfdd0.jpg
Flinkly
Holy torque, batman! There's quite a bit of deflection! Is that to spec? * Build Thread * 26.53 MPG - 12 month Average *

N.Y.X.
I ended up putting washers between them as suggested by grimmspeed. It was the only way it didn't leak.
Flinkly
First, my last few posts here could be seen as negative. Want to waylay that idea by saying what i think: that this is all nicely done. Now for the question (too lazy to look in grimmspeed), do you mean you put in washers as spacers between the adapter and the mid pipe? Will have to look up the details... sometime. * Build Thread * 26.53 MPG - 12 month Average *
N.Y.X.
Oh I didn't think it was negative, I just know what the exhaust can handle compared to the subaru donut gasket. In the "how to" video they pause it and state that the added washers will specifically be for some applications but you will not know until you try. I iwll try and take a pic to show you what I did when I get back from visiting home.
Rhitter
I bent my oem exhaust like that too when I attached it to my downpipe using that gasket. Doesn't seem to have hurt anything in the 2.5 years that I have had it. My OBXT build
kzr750r1
Reminds me of the 82 Gpz triple clamp. Top section could be overtourqed (aluminum) to the point of bending the tabs together beyond the point that's needed to secure the fork leg. Solution was to insert a stainless tube section inside the bracket so it could be reefed tight and clamp the top of the fork tube. Here the only issue is heat cycles can make the bolts loose over time. Isn't this the union where the spring bolts are placed?
N.Y.X.
It is, so it adds an additional 3" exhaust gasket, that's where the extra washers come into play. They help cinch down the 3" gasket, the donut wasn't the issue. In other news... KSTech arrived, great quality, AEM filter. http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160815_174535_zpsc36dis3j.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160815_174557_zpsfcl4vmzh.jpg

fox212
Wouldn't you want to reverse that intake pipe? The air is going to be very turbulent that close to the filter, and these MAFs don't like turbulent. Just a thought.

Nightmaresmk
Yeah it's the design. Most tuners don't like them because of the designs and no air straightener.
fox212
Yea, most are one-way, but I can't see why this one couldn't be reversed. Looks like that bend is right near the middle. If it were my car, I'd try it. My WRX was not playing nice with the tuner until we moved the MAF further downstream. Flow straighteners work well, but getting the MAF away from the filter and into the downstream end of a straight (or mostly straight) length is usually sufficient to let the air smooth out. N.Y.X.
The pipe can be reversed but the MAF cannot be and is directional. I guess if if has issues then I can get it fixed as it would be as easy as grinding the maf mounting studs flush and re tapping holes. We'll see. New Uppipe came in and also going to install the new pads. Then we'll see what this 16G can put down. http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160827_113148_zpshemerobu.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160827_111625_zpszypmhxkg.jpg

N.Y.X.
So I didn't win yesterday, it seemed there may have been about 5-8 cars in the 05+ Legacy/Outback category. The winner had a fresh custom pearl/blue paint job along w/ a vf52/e85 combo. Wish I saw it in person, but Dave sent me some nice shots. magnusonsubie
If you're doing new bumpers get JDM bumpers so you'll have exhaust cutouts in the rear. For the front you'll need fenders, headlights, LGT hood, and the front JDM outback bumper. That looks like a solid list of things to do. And with your fab skills you could make your own underhood dress up stuff. 2005 Vader Wagon Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B

N.Y.X.
So I ordered JDM Taillights, GS Alternator Cover and Radiator Shroud and DEI Tape to wrap the TMIC for a little more "wow" factor under the hood. Was able to get the new GS uppipe installed. Next dyno appointment is 10/28 w/ Cryo, we'll see what she puts down this time!! Note, I reinstalled the stock air intake as I was throwing codes with my tune. I will reinstall the KSTech the night before my tune. Getting my fenders rolled tomorrow afternoon, so I can go a little more low. Will also do the brake pads all the way around at the same time. That should wrap things up... For a little while;) Also did plugs on this lil guy for a local... http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160917_122330_zps0c2pk0is.jpg Here are those washers I was talking about at the midpipe and catback connection. http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160917_214620_zpsynlrgt57.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160917_201745_zpsfpwkvrn2.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160917_221133_zpsnwmxecwm.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/childreth13/20160917_224316_zpsy9jzh64k.jpg
